What a good looking crowd.
Good to see you, Jock.

So last week, Smile Miss Mary.
There you go.
I had a lady at church on her way out.
She asked what time we started. class here what time we started church and she said I told her what time we started and she said I'm gonna I'm gonna come up her one of these days I said we sure have a lot of fun up here And she said, it looks like it.
So y'all are a blessing to her and not only to her, but y'all are a blessing to me as well.
So I do I cherish the fun that we have and come together in fellowship.
It's just a wonderful time.
So with that said, good afternoon everyone.
Last week we stopped our lesson in verse 18 in the book of Jude.
But to help us stand context.
Let's start our reading in verse 17 and we will pick right back up where we left off last week and jump right back in where we stopped, God went.
So, oh, thank you very much.
We are in Jude starting at verse 17 reading.
Here we go.
Everybody ready?
Here we go.
But beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, how that they told you there should be mockers.
In the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lust.
Excuse me.
Let's pray.
Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for each and every person that's come to hear your word, Father.
Lord, we just pray, Lord, that all the distractions will be removed, Lord, and we'll be fully focused on your word here today.
Father, we pray that you are glorified here, Lord, today.
And we pray that you just teach us, Lord, just help us to learn today, Lord.
And we thank you and we love you so much.
Jesus name I pray.
Amen.
Alright.
So we left off last week in verse 18 at who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
These three words, who should walk, comes from a Greek word that means to travel, journey, or walk.
Remember we talked about that being the road that you're on, the path which way you are taking.
Which way have these people that Jude has been telling us about choose to live their lives that God has blessed them with?
Which way had they chosen to live their lives?
The ungodly mockers that Judy has been telling us about.
Telling us about.
Look back at your text.
Jude says, after their own ungodly lust.
The word after means down in place or time.
I said here a while back that there is one road we are all walking.
That road has many off-ramps and detours, and I thank God for the U-turn that He has so graciously installed in that road.
And it's there for anybody who chooses to use it.
One road we are all on, and in the end, that road is going to take you to your final destination of either heaven or hell.
What are you after?
Which direction of that road are you going down?
Are you after heaven?
Are you going down the path of the road that leads you there?
If you have put your faith in the death of Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you are going in the right direction, dear friends.
And you are serving God in some way, shape, or form.
But if you have not accepted the death of His dear Son as your atonement, Then you are still walking contrary to God.
You are not walking after the things of God.
You are not walking in the direction that is going to take you to heaven, but you are walking after or down the path that is going to take you to hell.
If you want to find that U-turn I mentioned before, it is there for you, just like it was there for me.
All you have to do is agree with God and believe Him.
Amos 3:3 says, Can two walk together except they be agreed?
God sent his only begotten Son to die for your sins.
All your sins were placed on Jesus Christ on the day he hung on that cross and died.
Receiving all your punishment for you in your place.
So, in turn, you would not have to suffer the wrath of God in judgment.
God wants you to agree with Him, and the way you do that is by belief.
If you refuse to agree with God, then you are calling God a liar.
And God is not a liar, folks.
1 John 5:10, and we got y'all marked there.
1 John 5:10.
1 John 5:10 there, Miss True Love.
5:10.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Everybody got it?
We got you more.
1 John chapter 5, verse 10.
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself.
He that believeth not God hath made him a liar.
Because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
And this is the record.
That God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He that hath the Son hath life.
And he that hath not the Son, Son of God, hath not life.
Plain, simple.
I'm going to say it again.
He that hath the Son hath life.
And he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
Those who choose not to believe God have not life and are heading down the road toward the destination prepared for the devil and his angels.
Those who choose to not believe God are ungodly and they do not choose to walk after the things of God, but they choose to look back at our text in Jude.
Walk after their own ungodly lusts.
What are ungodly lusts?
First, let's look at the definition of the word lust.
The word lust comes from the Greek word epithumia.
Epithumia.
And it means a longing or desire.
This word is derived from the Greek word epi thu mio.
Which gives us the idea to set the heart upon or long for either right or otherwise.
Our verse says in Jude that these mockers walk after their own ungodly lusts, so they have set their heart On or desired things that are ungodly.
Why?
Because the love of the Father is not in them.
They choose to walk contrary to our Lord God and not believe him.
So therefore the love of the Father The Holy Spirit is not in them guiding and teaching them the way, the truth, and the life.
The things of God.
But instead, they are following after things of this fallen world, which is going to perish someday, along with all the other ungodly things that have been accumulated. that hold no value for our Lord when He returns to wipe this old slate clean.
I heard this.
I don't know who wrote it.
If I knew, I'd give them the credit for it.
But it says 'Tis but one life.
So soon shall pass only what's done for Christ shall last.
The ungodly are chasing after things that are leading them straight to hell, folks.
1 John 2.
15.
We've got that with Mark 42.
1 John 2.
15.
Right here, Mr.
Love.
1 John 2, 15.
It's going to start you right there.
2. 15 words, love not the world.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.
That's a lot of things, isn't it?
If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes And the pride of life is not of the Father, but is of the world.
The world wants you to buy this and buy that.
The world wants you to look all, get more makeup, and get all this, and do these things, and do those things.
That's not the love of the Father.
It is of the world.
And the world passes away, and the lust thereof.
All of the things that the ungodly worked so hard to obtain, lied, cheated, and stolen to get.
Will not stay or remain.
It's all gone away.
But he that doeth the will of God abideth.
Forever.
That word of bieth means to stay or remain.
What Is the will of God.
But he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.
What is the will of God?
For you to believe him.
That is the will of God for you to believe in.
John 3:16 and we're going to read all the way down.
Through 18.
John 3:16.
And I know y'all know this one.
What is the will of God for you to believe him?
John 3:16, if you know it, say it with me.
For God so loved the world.
That he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
That's right.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.
That time, Christ did not come to condemn the world.
Christ came as a baby born in a smelly, stinky old barn, folks.
I know about smelly, stinky old barns.
I've moved more hand and cleaned out more corrals, and I care to remember.
I cleaned up a lot of them.
I know I'm familiar with how they smell and for a baby to be born in an old sticky old barn, especially our Savior.
God in the flesh was born in a manger in a stinky old barn, folks.
Can you imagine?
Now he left his heavenly home that was sinless to come to a world full of sin.
That time he came and he was hung on a cross and crucified for telling the truth.
He came as a man to undo what man had done.
Christ came to die as a man the first time, but we are in the last time, folks.
And when Christ comes back this time, no one will be hanging him on any crosses.
For those who refuse to do the will of God and believe him, you will be condemned.
John 3. 18, one of my favorite verses.
He that believeth on him is not condemned.
He that believeth on him is not condemned.
But he that believeth not Is condemned already because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
I could make that no more simple.
Who are those that refuse to believe God?
Let's look at verse 19, where we'll close for today, and we'll pick back up here next week, God willing.
Verse 19 in the book of Jude: Who are those who refuse to believe in God?
These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the spirit.
Ungodly unbelievers, folks.
If you are an ungodly unbeliever, I promise you there's a U-turn on that road headed to hell, folks.
You go to the cross of Jesus Christ and God will turn you around and he'll put you on the right path towards heaven.
I testify to that, and I can promise you that God will do it if you want it done.
But that choice is up to you.
Only you can choose to get on that U-turn.
I can't choose it for you.
Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for each and every person who's come to hear your word, Father.
Lord, we pray that you were glorified here today, Lord.
And we pray, Lord, that the lost were pointed to Christ, Father.
Lord, we just thank you so much, Father.
What a blessing it is to be able to come here, Lord, and share your word, Father.
And we thank you for this lesson that you blessed us with.
Shared here today, Lord.
We pray, Lord, that the saints were edified, Lord.
And Lord, we just pray, Lord, if there's one here that doesn't know Christ as their Savior, Father.
That you will just draw them to the cross, Lord.
Help them to get on the right path, Lord, leading to heaven, Father.
Lord, we want to pray for Brother Colwin's wife, Lord, as she's recovering, Lord.
We pray for her continued recovery.
Lord, we sure thank you for Brother Colby coming and leading us on us, Lord, and we pray for his well-being as well, Lord.
We want to pray for each and every person that's here, Lord, and in this place.
Are sick, Lord, or have some kind of physical ailment, Lord, that kept them from coming to hear your word, Father.
We want to pray for them, Lord.
Pray for the caregivers that are here, Lord, that they would help take care of them.
These people, Lord, the way you want them to be taken care of, Father.
Draw on to the cross, Lord, the ones that don't know Christ.
We sure pray for that, Lord.
We thank you, Lord.
We just pray for those who have lost loved ones, Lord.
Are going through that right now, Lord.
Just be with them, Lord, and let them know you're there.
And we thank you, and we love you, Lord.
And we ask these things in Jesus' name today, Lord.
Amen.
