Whoo! In his arms shall take and she'll be that will find us. Put on the whole armor of God. Ha ha ha! Yeah, that's a... I like that. That's a lot... That's pretty good there, Thomas. I think it's a lot better. You did good on that. Alright, let me get Brother Don Mark right quick and get him up. A lesson? There you go, let's not be out of here. Man. You know what we should hope for? I'll do this as quick as possible. We've got four spots marked today. Wait. There we go. There we go. (Singing) (Singing) (Singing) (Singing) There's a bird with a mountain bat out there. Anybody else here? Yeah, Matthew. The who? Oh! (Singing) (Singing) There we go, Donna. Alright, everybody found the book of Jude. We're gonna start Jude. Alright, what I'm gonna do, for people at home, or people that are watching, what I usually do, I'll take this is the verses that we cover during our lesson here. And hopefully if you need to pause or stop or come back to it later on, I'm gonna try to start showing you all these verses. I pass out a sheet to everybody here. And this way they can go back and look them over. And some of the verses are just a verse or two here and there. So I don't have, everybody does a turn there. They do that on their time. And they look them up. So what we've learned is, if you'll teach a person to fish, they can feed themselves. So what I wanna do, I wanna show you all these verses. And hopefully they're steady enough to where you can read them. And later on, if you miss a verse, or you're not fast enough to keep up with me, because I get to talking fast sometimes, then you can go back to the beginning and you can look at those and you can see the verses that we've covered. So, without all being said, we're gonna start off here in the Book of Jude, where we left off at last time. Now, everybody in the Book of Jude get us started? Alright, well we got a couple here. I'd like to get everybody on God's Word. We wanna look at God's Word. So that's what I try to do. I get everybody some tabs. I got little sticky tabs that I mark each and every person's that wants them. I mark in their Bible, and that way they can turn to them more fast and keep up. This is gonna be, down at eight, is this it? John 8-11. Yes, sir. You'll be right, just, John right here. And that's gonna be eight. But we're gonna start in Jude. So we're gonna be back here in Book of Jude. And we're gonna look at verse 9. I need to mark it in for you. Congratulations. One more over. This is what Scott marked. Jude, right there. Alright, Book of Jude, we're gonna be at verse 9. We're gonna be at verse 9, so I'm gonna go up to Luke, and he says there's eight, so nine. Alright, John, is there a fire there? Alright, let me turn off this noise, Micah. Turn that back on. Alright, so everybody's in the Book of Jude. Here we go. We have been studying the Book of Jude, and we have made it to verse 9. And hopefully, God will have put it through verse 9 today. And we made it to verse 9 with Jude writes. Now we got our eyes on Jude verse 9. And he says, "Yet, Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil, he disputed about the body of Moses." Now, last week we talked about the body of Moses, and we talked about the body of Moses previous. So we're gonna be picking up today where he says, "Dirst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said the Lord rebuke thee." Now, Jude says, "Dirst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said the Lord rebuke thee." Now, how many of you use the word "dirst"? That's what I thought. That's not a word that I commonly use either. Nobody raised their hand here on the word "dirst." How many of you all at home use the word "dirst"? That's not a word that we commonly use anymore. Now, when we look up the word "dirst," we find that it comes from the Greek word "tolemao." Tolemao. It is spelled T-O-L-M-A-O. And it gives us the idea of boldness or courage. Now, I found it really interesting that the word "dirst" is the past tense of "dare," which means challenge, defiance, disregard, or show of resistance. When Michael the archangel and the devil disputed about the body of Moses, he "dirst not" or you could say he "dared not" bring against him a railing accusation. The word "railing" used here comes from the Greek word "blasphemia." And it means vilification, especially against God, blasphemy or evil speaking. It is derived from the Greek word "blasphemos," which is made up of two different words. Blapto, which means to hinder or injure. It gives us the idea of to hurt. The other word is "fame," which means a saying or rumor. This word used here is accompanied by a "skirlous" language. "Skirlous" means using low and indecent language, vulgar, abusive, or mean. One type is against man. That is referred to as "columnious." That's C-A-L-U-M-N-I-O-U-S, "columnious." And it is meant to be slanderous or injurious to a person's reputation. Another type of blasphemy is "empius." That means irreverent toward the supreme being. When we are pious, we reverence and honor God. "Empius" is just the opposite. Ephesians 4, 29. Now everybody has your dad that part in their Bible. Ephesians 4, 29. Right here is where we're going to start. Yes, sir. Ephesians 4, 29. I sure have everybody's mark. Ephesians, right here, God. Ephesians 4, 29. We're going to start right here. You got it, Thomas? All right. You got it good back there? Ephesians 4, 29. Ephesians 4, 29 says, everybody got their eyes on the Word of God? Here we go. "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may administer grace unto the hearers." Ha ha! 4, 30 says, "And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." Now, folks, if you don't know Jesus Christ as your Savior, you do not have the Holy Spirit of God. You have your spirit. But until you put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior, you do not have the Holy Spirit of God. That's true. Ephesians 4, 31 says, "Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and evil speaking be put away from you with all malice." Malice is another word for evil. Ephesians 4, 32. "And I love this, and be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Now, when you put your faith in Jesus Christ, God sends His Spirit to live with you. Your Spirit, folks, I can't tell you how tender-hearted you will become, how much you want to forgive others. You will think how much Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins. And God looking at that, and you looking at that, and God forgiving you through Christ, the knowledge of knowing this, you can't help but be kind one to another. It's a blessing. Each time I come into this place, I see people being kind one to another. And folks, that is just wonderful to see that. When I go outside in this whole world, and I'm around all that goes on out there, you don't see a whole lot of people being kind one to another anymore, and it's getting worse every day. But I can go to my church, or I can come to my church here, and I can see people being kind one to another. And it's such a blessing. It's such an uplifting moment for me to see that. Y'all do not realize how much of a blessing each and every one of y'all are to me personally. Oh, it's such a blessing to see y'all here today to come with your God's Word. Now, back in Jude verse nine, our verse says, "Dirst not bring against him a railing accusation." If we accuse someone, we bring an accusation against them. This means the act of charging with a crime or offense. The act of accusing of any wrong or injustice. Michael the archangel did not bring any blasphemous offense against the devil. He simply said, "The Lord rebuke thee." The Lord rebuke thee. The word rebuke comes from the Greek word epitomeo, which means to tax upon. That is, censure or admonish. The word censure, it means the act of blaming or finding fault and condemning as wrong. There is not a person here that should be condemning anybody else for being wrong. Jesus Christ died for each and every one of your sins personally. He died for my sins personally. I have no business telling somebody that they're any worse than I am. I'm just as bad as the next person. The Bible says there is no one good, no not one. We don't have a right to tell each other his faults. The Bible says, "I wish I had wrote it down." Remove the log from your eye. "I can't remember. Boy, I wish I could remember that verse. It's a good one." Now, the word censure means the act of blaming or finding fault and condemning as wrong. This is really, really interesting. In the book of John, a woman was caught in the act of adultery, and the penalty for that was stoning. Back in those days, they've been stoned people for a little bit. The scribes and Pharisees brought this woman to Jesus to test him. Let's look at what Jesus did. Let's turn to the book of John, chapter 8, and let's read verses 1 through 11. The book of John, chapter 8. Chapter 8, 1 through 11. Alright, over there. You got it. You got it. You got it, boss? You got it, woman. Book of John, chapter 1. I mean chapter 8, I'm sorry, chapter 8, verse 1. Everybody there? Alright, good, good, good. Here we go. Jesus went unto the mount of horrors, and early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him, and he sat down and taught them. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery, and when they had set her in the midst, they say unto him, "Master, this woman was taken in adultery," in the very act. "Now Moses in the law commanded us that such should be stoned, but what sayest thou?" This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. They was looking for Jesus' answer so that they could tempt him. They wanted to hear what he had to say in order to accuse him of something, of doing something wrong. Guess what? Jesus did nothing wrong. Jesus did nothing wrong in his whole entire life, so he was here. He didn't know nothing wrong. This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. They were looking for something to point out wrong. But Jesus stood down and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. Jesus just bade them no mind. Now what did Jesus do when Michael, well, I believe Michael Archangel was Jesus. What did Michael Archangel do when he was talking with the devil? He said, "The Lord reviewed thee." He acted as though he heard him not. Verse 7, "So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself and said unto them, He that is without sin among you let him first cast a stone at her." And again he stooped down and wrote on the ground, "And they which heard him, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last." And Jesus was left alone and the woman standing in the midst. Everybody had cleared out. What was really fantastic here is that each and every one of them realized that they were sinners. But not all of them came to Christ. They all knew that they had sinned. "When Jesus had lifted up himself and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, 'Woman, where are those thine accusers? Have no man condemned thee?' She said, 'No man, Lord.' And Jesus said unto her, 'Neither do I condemn thee. Go and sin no more.' When Michael the archangel was arguing, or not arguing, but Michael and the archangel were in discussion, Moses the body of Moses, Michael the archangel didn't argue with him. He just told him, 'The Lord rebuked thee.' There was the seed. Of all the people who could have rebuked her, found fault in what she had done, Jesus simply said, 'Go and sin no more.' Jesus did not rebuke her. Jesus did not bring a railing accusation against her. Jesus said, 'Go and sin no more.' There was no sense in Michael the archangel telling the devil this, because there is no truth in him. John 8, 44 says, 'Ye are of your father the devil, and the lust of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and a boat not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own, for he is a liar and a father of his. Sometimes I used to wonder why the devil just wouldn't repent. Repent. He won't never repent. He was a murderer from the beginning, and a boat not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own, for he is a liar and a father of his. Michael the archangel said, 'The Lord rebuked thee.' Proverbs 20, 22 says, 'Say not thou, I will recompense evil, but wait on the Lord, he shall save thee.' Romans 12, 17. I believe we have that one tomorrow. Romans 12, 17. We have good facts. Yes, sir. Romans 12, 17. Alright. Romans 12, 17. You got it there, Thomas? I have a stick. Romans 12, 17. Recompense to no man evil for evil, but wait on the Lord, and he shall save thee. I'm sorry. Romans 12, 17. Recompense to no man evil for evil, provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18. If it be possible, as much as life in you, live peaceably with all men. 19. Deary beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay saith the Lord.' 20. Michael the archangel did not rebuke Satan, he did not rebuke the devil. Bible says, 'Avenge not yourself, but rather give place unto wrath, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay saith the Lord.' 21. The Lord will repay him. Therefore, if thine enemy hunger feed him, if he thirst give him drink, for in so doing thou shalt he keep coals of fire on his head. 22. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. 23. Hebrews 10, 30 says, 'For we know him that hath said, 'Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense saith the Lord.' 24. And again, the Lord shall judge his people. 25. Hebrews 10, 31, 'It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.' 26. Maybe you have said some blasphemous words in your life. I can tell you without a doubt that I have in my life. 27. Sometimes words just slip right out of my mouth without my brain stopping to think about what my mouth is verbalizing. Have you all ever had that happen? Have you said things that you wish you hadn't said? 28. James 3, 5 says, 'Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts his great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire can learn.' 29. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. So is the tongue among our members that it defileth the whole body, and seteth on fire the course of nature, and it is set on fire of hell. 30. James 3, 7, 'For every kind of beast, and of birds, and of serpents, and things in the sea is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind, but the tongue can know man tamed. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.' 31. Proverbs 16, 23, 'The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.' 24. 'Pleasant words are as in honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.' God's word is health to the bones. It is sweet to the soul and health to the bones. Folks, Jesus did not come to rebuke you for your sins. He came to die for your sins, and that is exactly what He did. Jesus Christ died for each and every sin you have ever committed, that you will commit today, and that you will commit tomorrow. Jesus Christ died for our sins. 31. God the Father wants you to know that there is forgiveness waiting for you, and all you have to do is trust Him. Let's close today by reading what the Apostle Paul said in 1 Timothy chapter 1 verses 12-17. We are going to close today with this one. 1 Timothy chapter 1 verses 12-17. Now this is written by the Apostle Paul through the inspiration of God. Now if you remember correctly, Paul was a pretty bad number back in his time. When he first started out, he crucified Christians. He would arrest Christians, but his faith in Jesus Christ put him on a new path. Your faith in Jesus Christ will put you on a new path too. I promise you by the Word of God, it will change your life. 1 Timothy chapter 1 verse 12 Paul writes, "And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who hath enabled me, for that He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry." This is Paul talking about himself, who was before a blasphemer, a persecutor, an injurious, but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 1 Timothy 1.14 Paul goes on and says, "And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus." This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am cheating. How bid for this cause I obtained mercy if the Apostle Paul can obtain mercy from all that he has done. You can too, folks. If I can obtain mercy for all that I have done, you can too. How bid for this cause I obtained mercy. This cause is Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. He says that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all long suffering for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting. Paul goes on to say in verse 17, "Now unto the King eternal." That means forever and ever. Immortal, invisible, the only wise God. Be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. Folks, if you don't know Jesus Christ as your Savior, there is no better time than now to accept Christ as your Savior. The Bible says, "He that believeth on Him is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already, for he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." It's through belief. If you don't know Christ as your Savior, I pray God will draw you to the cross and He'll keep drawing you until you come to that cross and you see Christ dying for your sins. Heavenly Father, we thank You so much, Lord, for this time that You blessed us with it. We're here to help You come and share Your Word, Father. We're so thankful, Lord, for those who come to hear it, Lord. And Lord, we want to pray if there's one here that doesn't know Christ as your Savior, or one that's watching this, tuned in on the Internet watching, Lord. We pray, Lord, that they will get that straightened out with You, Father, before it's too late, Lord. A visit with a man earlier, Lord. And Father, just don't get no easier visiting with people that are that close, Lord, that are so close to coming to be with You, Lord. I am so grateful, Lord, that this person believed on Christ, Lord. They put their faith in what Jesus has done for them on that cross, Father. I'm so thankful, Lord, for that person that's done that, Lord. We're thankful for that person who used to come here faithfully, Lord. But now they can't get out of bed, Lord. We know that that time is coming for each and every one of us, Lord, and we just pray, Lord, that they would accept Christ as their Savior before that time comes, Lord. Lord, we just so thankful, Lord, for the ability to get out of our beds, Lord, and the ability to still move, Lord. Thank you for the ability to come here, Lord, and share Your word with these folks, Father. We pray, Lord, that they will talk today, Lord. We pray that You are glorified here today, Lord. And Lord, we just thank You so much for all that You do, Father, for all You do is good, Lord. Thank You for Jesus, Lord. And we ask You His signs in Jesus' name, today. Amen.
