Episode Transcript
Like I was telling them a while ago, it don't say nowhere in that Bible.
It don't say nowhere in God's word to get in a hurry and read through God's word.
So we like to take our time, we study the words, and we want to learn.
So we're trying to learn God's word.
Folks, in your own private time when you're reading, don't just sit there and skim right through it.
Look up the words.
Get immersed in God's word.
Learn what God's saying, and the more you learn what God's saying, the closer He's going to want to get to you.
And that's such a blessing to know the Lord as your Savior.
You just get closer and closer each and every day.
So get in that.
That's why we try to give away, give Bibles to people who need them.
If we do, please just read your Bible.
That's what we ask: please read it.
Get closer to God.
That's how we get closer to Him is through His Word.
With that said, it's good to see everybody.
Hello, Ms.
Works.
It's a blessing to see each and every person here today.
I can't tell you what kind of encouragement y'all are to me.
It's good to see y'all.
So last week we stopped in verse 15 in the book of Jude.
So in order to help us stay in context, I'm going to do the same thing I did last week until we get through the book of Judah.
I like to keep us in context.
So we'll go back a verse and we're going to read through verse 15.
And we're going to start in verse 15.
So let's go ahead and read that so we can get started.
And Jude says.
In verse 14 of the book of Jude.
And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these.
He's talking about the ungodly that we've been studying throughout the whole book of Jude just about.
Saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints.
Why?
To execute judgment upon all. and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed.
And of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
Wow.
Let's pray.
Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for your precious word, Father.
We thank you for those who come to hear it, Lord, and to learn it, Father.
And, Lord, we want to thank you so much for Jesus, and we thank you for your spirit, Father.
Lord, we love you so much, Lord, and we just pray, Lord, that you would just.
Fill each and every person with a learning spirit today, Lord, and that all ears are attended to you today, Father.
We thank you, Lord.
Just teach through you, Lord.
Use what you teach, Father, and just let your word flow through me, Lord.
Lord, we thank you, and we love you so much, Father.
In Jesus' name we pray.
Am.
Amen.
Alright, so last week, we left off where Jude says. and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
The word hard used here means dry.
These dry or hard speeches that these ungodly sinners were speaking to the brethren were not encouraging others to look to the Lord.
These words that they were using were dry and in a world filled with sin folks We need to hear all the words of God that we can When David was in the wilderness, he wrote this psalm through the inspiration of God.
Psalm 63. 1 says, A Psalm of David.
When he was in the wilderness of Judah, he says, O God, thou art my God.
Early will I seek thee.
My soul thirsteth for thee.
My flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land where no water is.
These ungodly teachers that Judah is telling us about.
We're not passing out what our souls need in order to stay hydrated.
Why?
Because they did not know the one who brought the moist.
Psalms 105, 41 says, He open the rock and the waters gushed out.
They ran in the dry places like a river.
Only our Lord can open that rock heart and allow life-giving water to flow to a soul.
But you first have to agree with him.
And these ungodly sinners who were speaking against him, as our verse says, did not agree with God.
They were unbelieving, therefore un.
Jude says, back in our verse. and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
So if we were to look back a few words We see the words un deeds back here in verse 15.
He says, to execute judgment upon all and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their U deed This has to do with un acts Now we are looking at ungodly words, words that don't point you to faith in Christ as your Savior.
Proverbs 15, 4 says, A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but per therein is a breach in the spirit.
The word wholesome used here means curative or a medicine.
Gives us the idea of healing.
If you are still unforgiven by the Father of your sin debt, you need forgiveness which brings healing to your soul which has been broken by sin.
The only way you are going to get repaired what needs to be fixed is if you listen to the Father and agree to let His physician operate on you.
Jesus said in Mark 2. 18, when Jesus, oh Jesus said this, they that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick.
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Folks, if you know that you are a sinner, then congratulations, you are halfway there.
The other half is realizing you need forgiveness for those sins.
And when you allow the great physician to operate on you through faith.
In his death on the cross, he will remove those sins which cover you in the sight of the Father.
Psalms 103, 12 says, As far as the east is from the west.
So far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Thank God.
Wholes words, folks, not the words of the ungodly.
When the Apostle Paul was writing to Timothy to help encourage him and help guide him in his ministry.
And on a quick side note, I would like to say how thankful I am for the ones who God has put in my life.
To help encourage me and help guide me through this ministry as well.
Thank God for the pause in the world, folks.
I can only imagine how grateful Timothy was to Paul for his help and encouragement.
I can tell you, I am very grateful for the men.
And the women to help encourage me so very much.
When Paul wrote to Timothy in 1 Timothy 6, verses 3 through 5.
Paul wrote to speak on this very thing about the words of ungodly teachers.
He says, If any man teach otherwise, and cons not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine.
Which is according to godliness or to godliness, right?
He is proud, knowing nothing.
But doting about questions and strifes of words, where cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmises. per disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supp that gain is godliness.
He says, from such withdraw thyself.
Ungodly teachers are destitute or separated from the truth.
Their minds are corrupted with the things of this world focusing on what they can get from you instead of what they can share with you.
And Paul says, from such people, withdraw thyself.
And that is the same thing that Jude has been telling us as well.
Get away from these people.
Don't continue to listen to hard speeches from people who don't share the gospel of Christ with you.
If you're not being pointed to the one who can heal you folks, Then you're going to stay sick and you will die in your sins and spend eternity with all the other sick souls who refuse to be healed.
You can be healed if you want to be.
How many times?
Look back at verse 15 in June and count with me.
How many times the word ungodly is used?
He says to execute judgment upon all and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds. which they have un committed, and of all their hard speeches which un sinners have spoken against him.
Four times.
Four times.
The word ungodly is used four times in just this one verse.
These ungodly people were ungodly because they ch to be.
You have a choice.
These people had a choice.
We all have a choice.
You do not have to remain ungodly.
If you will just choose to believe God, we have mentioned these verses, but one of the ways we learn is by repetition.
Psalms 1 through 6 says, Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly. nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth he meditate Day and night, and he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water.
There's that water, folks.
That's not dry speeches.
That's not hard speeches.
That's that refreshing water.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season.
His leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The un are not so.
But are like the chaff which the wind driveth away that dry chaff Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous.
But the way of the ungodly shall per.
Folks, if you do not want to remain ungodly and perish, When judgment is passed upon all Paul wrote in Romans, and we've got y'all marked here in Romans as we start to close.
Paul wrote in Romans chapter 5.
Verses six through eleven.
Chapter five, six through ele.
If everybody's eyes are upon it, it means a lot more than just Brother Doug up here quot.
You're reading it for yourself.
Romans 5, 6 through 11.
Paul starts off in verse 6 of chapter 5 of Romans.
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the who?
Ungodly.
Ungodly.
Read that again.
For when we were yet without strength in due time, Christ died for the ungodly.
These people that Jude is talking about here, they had a choice.
Christ died for them just like he died for each and every one of us.
Christ died for the ungodly.
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die.
Oh, I'm sorry.
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
The words, without strength.
Used here means feeble or sick.
Feeble or sick without strength.
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die, yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
But God comm his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Ungodly.
Christ died for us.
God knows that we are sinners.
Do you agree with God that you are a sinner?
Christ died for sinners.
If you agree with God that you are a sinner, Christ died for you in order that you may be forgiven.
Much more than being now just by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
If you agree with God that you are a sinner and you agree with God that Christ died for you, guess what?
You are now justified by the shed blood of Christ.
Which he shed for your sins in order that you should be forgiven.
The just for the unjust.
Christ sacrificed him for you in your place, receiving the wrath of God for your sins, that you should receive.
But Christ loves you so much that he stood in your place and received your punishment so that you would not have to suffer God's wrath for your sins.
Paul goes on in verse 10.
For if when we were enemies, ungodly.
We were reconciled to God by the death of his Son.
Much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
No longer enemies, folks.
No longer ungodly.
But welcomed into the family of God and welcomed to come and live with our Lord forever when the time comes.
Found not guilty by the judge and set free from our sin debt.
Verse 11, last verse will close.
And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
B whom we have now received the at.
The word atonement used here means exch.
Exchange.
The just for the unjust once again.
Do you want to find the joy that God wants you to know?
You put your faith in the one God sent to pay your sin debt, and I can tell you that you will find no greater joy this side of heaven.
There's no joy like joy in sal.
Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for those who come to hear your word, Father, and I pray, Lord.
That we learn something here today, Father.
We pray, Lord, that if there's women here that don't know Christ as their Savior, Father, that you would draw them to the cross and you would show them Jesus as their Savior, Father.
Show them, Lord.
We pray that they would heed that draw, Lord.
We know it's by your grace, Lord, your free gift, Father, that we are saved through our faith, Lord.
We thank you so much for Jesus, Lord, and we thank you for your Holy Spirit, Father.
Lord, we thank you for each and every person that's come, Lord.
And Father, we want to pray for each and every person that's here today, Lord.
We pray for those who are sick, Lord, that your perfect will be done in their healing, Lord.
We pray, Lord, for the caregivers that are here, Father, that they would just help take care of these people, Lord, the way you want them to be taken care of, Father.
Lord, we want to pray for those who can't get out of their beds, Father, that you'll just let each and every person know, Lord, that you are here with them, Lord, and that they are not alone as they go through this, Lord.
We thank you, Lord, and we pray that your perfect will be done in each and every person's life here today, Lord.
And we just thank you so much, Father.
For all you do, Lord, for all you do is good, Lord.
And we love you, Lord, and we just thank you for each and every blessing you pour out upon us, Father.
In Jesus' name, Lord, we pray.
Amen.
