What a blessing it is to see everybody. Man, y'all and dad, y'all are just such a blessing to me. I could have the worst week at work and I can come up here and then just, woo, boy, good deal. So my notes say good afternoon everyone. Good afternoon. All right. We've been going through the book of Jude verse by verse. And we've been reading and studying the Word of God. Folks, when you're reading the Word of God, please take time to look up a Word if you do not know what it means. Look it up, get in there, find some accompanying verses to go with it, and study. Look it up. You good, Miss Mary? Need some help? No, I don't have to. Okay. Alright. So last week we stopped at verse 18 discussing the word mockers in the book of Jude. So today, God willing, we're going to continue our study in Jude. So let's go ahead and start our reading in verse 17 of the book of Jude. To help us stay in the context of what Jude has written. And we will stop at the end of verse 18 and start expounding where we left off last week. Well let's go and get there. Are you looking for June? No, I can't remember it. I'm just letting her do it because she's too mounted off on me. Book of June. I hope I do. I know what it is. Touch my healing. Okay. Alright. Book of Jude, we're going to start reading in verse 17 and read through 18. Are we ready? Okay, here we go. Jude says, But beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time who should walk after their own ungodly lust. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for each and every person that's come to hear your word today. Father. Lord, we pray that you'll remove all the distractions out of here today, Lord, and that our minds and ears and eyes will be focused on you today, Lord. Just teach here today. Let your spirit teach through me, Lord, and teach all of us today, Father. We thank you, Lord, and we love you for all that you do, Lord. For all you do as good, Lord. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Okay, so last week we learned that the word mocker means a deceiver, an imposter. I used a mockingbird to illustrate this by describing how it can imitate other birds and make you think that it is a bird that it is not. Some people can see the mockingbird and realize that they have been tricked. And some people can see the mockingbird but still hear the sounds. Of the different birds, and still not believe that it is a mockingbird. That looks like a mockingbird, but it sounds like a bluebird. That must be a bluebird. If everyone would read and study the word of God. I believe more people could spot that mockingbird when they saw it and realize that it's not a bluebird and would not fall prey to the invitation. Please identify who you are listening to and what they believe before you start allowing yourself To continue to listen to what they are saying. 2 John 1:7 says, For many deceivers are entered into the world who confess not that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Make sure you know what they believe before you start listening to them and following them. 1 John 4, 1 says, Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits. whether they are of God. Because many false prophets are gone out into the world. The word tribe used here comes from the Greek word Doc imadzo. Doc im adzo. Is that right, brother? And it means to test, discern, or examine. Just because that preacher sounds like a bluebird does not mean he is. Amen. You have to test him and you do that by taking what he says. And comparing it to what God says, right. And if it does not line up. Then someone is wrong, and I can tell you for 100% certainty that it is not God. Now, man makes mistakes. But I believe there is a difference between intentional and accidental. If I say something wrong God knows my heart and he is really good at letting me know when I do. Please folks, if I say something that you disagree with Please don't get mad at me and storm out, but wait until service is over and sit down with me. And let's discuss it with God's Word open before us. And let's learn together. And if it turns out that I said something wrong about the Word of God to you. I will be the first one to apologize, but you have to give me the opportunity to do so. Try the spirits, folks. Hear all back. There was a lady in here, and she disagreed with something I said. After church, I sat down with her, and she and I sat down, and we opened up God's Word together. And every question she had, I laid out God's Word, and I said, right here, right here. She told me flat to my face, she said, I don't believe all that. I said, okay, thank you, ma'am. She didn't believe it. She had a preacher. That had told her a bunch of things that wasn't in line with God's word. And when I showed her in black and white, hey This is a bluebird. It speaks bluebird. This is not a mockingbird speaking bluebird. Her pastor or preacher was a mockingbird speaking bluebird. And she did not want to believe the truth when I showed it to her. I sat down with her and I showed her to her. Now after she told me she didn't believe none of this, then I. That right there. Okay. Wipe your feet there. That's exactly right. Dust the sand off your sandals Go on, dust your sandals off and go on. That's what the Bible says. So that's what it did. I mean, I tried to, I said, well, what about Adam and Eve? I don't believe all that Old Testament stuff. That's a bunch of Hebrew fables, is what she said. I said, okay. All right, ma'am. So anyway, to go on with this, I just want to make the representation that I will sit down with you. And we will open up God's word and we'll let God show you. Here you go. I can give you this right here and show you what this says. If you don't believe this, I can't help you. But I will do that. If I say something that you disagree with, that you think is not in God's word, and then it's something else, you let me know and I will sit down with you. And if I am wrong, I will be the first one to apologize, I promise. Like I said, God knows my heart, and He knows that I'm not intentionally trying to tell anybody any wrong. I don't ever want to do that. It breaks my heart when accidentally something slips out. It breaks my heart. 1 John 4:2 as we continue there. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God. How do you know, folks, that that pastor is telling you the truth? Hereby know ye the Spirit of God. Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. And every spirit that confesseth not That Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is that spirit of Antichrist. Whereof ye have heard that it should come, and even now already is it in the world. The spirit of Antichrist is not just in one being, folks. Some people think that the Spirit of Antichrist is one single being. The Spirit of Antichrist is not in one single being. The Spirit of Antichrist is in many. The prefix anti, A-N-T-I, comes from the Greek and means against. So when you put the prefix anti In front of the word Christ, what do we have? Against Christ. Antichrist. Against Christ. Against Christ. And if you think that there is only one being against Christ in this world, then get ready to sit down with me after church here today because I don't think it's going to make you mad at me. Why is that? There are many people in this world, and they are not all for Christ. If they were all for Christ, then Christians would not be getting their heads cut off because of their belief in Christ. People would not be getting shot because they have different opinions than the world. And they would not be getting arrested for telling others about Christ. Anti-Christ. The devil is a counterfeiter and he likes to twist what God does. I think that the spirit of Antichrist comes from the devil and many people are filled with his spirit. But that's because they choose it. Just as people can choose to be filled with God's Spirit, there's a choice we have to make. Judas Iscariot is a prime example of how people can choose to be filled with the devil's spirit instead of God's Holy Spirit. Judas Iscariot was one of Christ's 12 apostles, and to the other 11 he sounded just like a bluebird. But when Christ looked upon him, he saw a mockingbird doing impersonations. In the book of Luke at the Last Supper, Christ reveals to us that he knows who the mockingbird is. Luke 22, 19, and he took bread and gave thanks and broke it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body, which is given for you. This do in remembrance of me. This is Jesus now. Likewise also the cup after supper saying This cup is the New Testament in my blood, which is shed for you. But behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. And truly the Son of Man goeth as it was determined. But woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed. And they began, the apostles, and they began to inquire among themselves which of them it was that should do this thing. None of them knew who they were. None of them knew who the man was that was going to betray them. Christ knew. Christ knew that mockingbird that was within their midst. They didn't see the mockingbird. All they saw was the bluebird noises. All they heard was the bluebird making noise. But it wasn't a bluebird. It was a mockingbird impersonating a bluebird. All this time the one called Judas had been among them. Judas traveled with them, witnessed miracles with them. ate with them, shared stories over campfires, I would imagine. Judas was the treasurer. If you were the one voting for treasurer, who would you want to be the treasurer? If I were the one voting, my vote would go to the one I thought was most trustworthy. All of this, and yet he, Judas, turned out to be a deceiver, a mocker. If Judas could fool all his friends right there, how much more do we need to study? And read God's word in order to identify a deceiver when they're teaching God's word, folks. Study God's Word. Please read God's Word. Even the elect can be fooled. Even the elect can be fooled if it were possible. All of this, and yet he turned out to be a deceiver, a mocker. For those of you who don't know the story, Judas Iscariot is the one who betrayed Christ and sold him out for 30 pieces of silver. Now while that was a shock to the other 11 disciples and probably many more who knew him. It was not a shock to Christ. Our Lord knows who mocks him, and our Lord knows who doesn't. Galatians 6, 7 says, Be not deceived. God is not mawed. For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. What you sow is what's going to grow. False teachers sow false doctrine, and when it is fully grown, it will produce false forgiveness. Galatians 6:8, For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption. But he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting. God's word, taught in truth, points you to Christ as your Savior through faith. You can find forgiveness and life eternal with our Savior. Learn to spot the mockers, folks. Learn to spot the mockers. Jude says back in our verse, 18. How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time who should walk after their own ungodly lusts Mockers in the last time who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. We are living in the last time, folks. That does not mean that another generation will not pass. That means that Christ is coming back. He already came once. He was crucified and sent away by an unrepentant mob of ungodly people. Who denied Christ as their Savior? They had their chance to repent and seek forgiveness just like all of us do. But they chose not to be forgiven, but to follow the spirit of Antichrist instead. Not all of them denied Christ as their Savior. And for those who put their faith in Christ when these last times are over and the return of Christ is upon us, it is going to be eternal life with our Savior. But for the mockers who walk after their own ungodly lusts, the second coming of Christ is not going to be as the first. The ungodly will not seem so triumphant when Christ returns to judge the world. We will close today with 1 John 2, 15 through 19. I believe we got you on marked there. 1 John 2, 15 through 19. 1 John 2. 15 through 19. Let everybody get there until we got you, Mark. 1 John 2, 15 through 19. He says, Love not the world. Neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. James 4, 4 says, ye adulterers and adulteresses, that includes women. So don't think y'all getting out of it. Men and women, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God. Whosoever therefore will be afraid of the. Oh, I'm sorry. Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. That word enmity means hostility. It implies reason for opposition. Romans 8, 6 through 7. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Don't you want life in him? Woo! I know Brother Doug Doug. 7. 8. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God. Ungodly thoughts produce ungodly results. Back to 1 John 2, 17, and the world passeth away. And the lust thereof. But he that doeth the will of God abideth forever. Folks, why do you want to put your faith in something that's going away? The world as we know it is going away. It is going away. Crazy. Little children, it is the last time. The last time. Christ came once. We are in the last days now, folks. When Christ comes back, that's it. What do they say? No mice. Done deal. Done deal. When Christ returns, this is the chance we have been given. After this is over with, no more chances, no more period of grace. When Christ comes back, he's not going to be that meek lamb led to the slaughter. He's going to be a judge. And every knee will bow. And every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Amen. Little children, it is the last time. And as ye have heard that Antichrist shall come, even now are there many Antichrists. Many. Whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us. For if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us. But they went out That they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. That word manifest means to render apparent. to appear, to declare or show self. They're mocking birds, imitating bluebirds. Those false teachers will be shown as the real mockingbirds that they really are when our Lord returns to make a new earth, folks. And they will not be a part of our new home. You will no longer have to be bombarded with sin because our new home will no longer have any sin in it. Sin-free. That's where I want to be. And I sure hope you do too. God has blessed me with a little poem we will close with today. I am in Christ and he is in me. There is no place that I would rather be. If you believe that Christ died for you, Through your faith, you are there too. Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for each and every person that's come to hear your word, Father. I pray, Lord, that the saints were edified, Father, and that the lost were pointed to you, Lord. We thank you, Lord, for all that you do, Lord. And Lord, we just so look forward to the return of Christ, Father, to claim, to fix, to straighten out all this, Lord. This whole big mess here, Lord. There's just so much sin, Lord, and we just pray for the return of Christ. We look forward to it, Lord. Father, we want to pray for. My mom, Lord, as she travels, Father, we just pray for the family's comfort there, Lord, and we just pray that you'll be with her, Lord. Be with the whole family there, Lord. Just help them, Lord. Just comfort them, Lord, as they're going through all this. Father, we just pray for those who are here, Lord, that are sick. We pray, Lord, that you would just let them know that you're here with them, Father. Let them know, Lord, that they're not alone, Father. Father, we want to pray for the caregivers that are here, Lord. Pray for their strength, Lord, to help take care of these people. While they're there here. Lord, I want to thank you for Brother Ray, Lord, for standing in, for Brother Coleman, Lord. We want to pray for Brother Coleman, Lord, him and his wife are happy. Some health issues, Lord. We just pray for your healing and your matter and that healing to be done, Father. We thank you, Lord. We sure miss them when they're not here. We thank you and love you so much, Father. We want to pray for each and every person in here today. We'll pray that your perfect will be done in each and every one of our lives. Open the eyes of those that are lost here today to Christ. Father, showing Christ on that cross where they died for their sins, Lord. We thank you and love you, Lord. Thank you for Jesus. Thank you for your Holy Spirit. And thank you, Lord, for your word, Father. Thank you for this blessing. In Jesus' name we'll pray amen.
