Good afternoon everyone. Good happy day, book. All right. So last week we left off in the book of Jude in verse 19. Now Jude has been reminding us about the mockers or the deceivers, the false teachers who shall be walking After their own ungodly lusts. And he tells us in verse 19, he says in the book of Jude, verse 19. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not spirit. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for your precious word. Father Jesus. Lord, we thank you for each and every person that comes to hear it, Lord. And Lord, we pray that the saints are edified here today, Lord, and that the lost are pointed to you, Lord. We pray that you are glorified here today, Lord. We pray, Lord, that you just let your Spirit just teach us all here today, Lord. Just use me, just teach through me, Lord. We thank you and we love you so much, Father. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Amen. Now, last week I mentioned. That the definition of the word sensual, according to my old Webster's dictionary, is Relating to or concerning the body in distinction from the spirit. There's a difference between the spirit and the body. not spiritual or intellectual, carnal, fleshly, pertaining to or consisting in the gratification of the senses or the indulgence of appetite, luxurious, lewd, voluptuous, devoted to the pleasures of sense and appetite. Do y'all remember me asking you if you have heard that old saying, if it feels good, just do it? I only mentioned that last week. That is the nature of mankind. We are born in a sinful world from sinful parents who were in turn born from sinful parents all the way back to Adam and Eve. Genesis 3. 20 says, And Adam called his wife's name Eve because she was the mother of all living. Everyone that has ever been born in this old world is a relative of Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve brought sin into this world. We have inherited that sin. Adam and Eve brought sin into this world by their disobedience to God in the Garden of Eden. And each and every person that has been born into this world Has inherited that sinful nature. Romans 5:12 says, Wherefore, as by one man, that's Adam, sin entered into the world. And death by sin. And so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. We are sinners by nature, sensual, not having the Spirit. Without the Spirit of God, we will remain this way: sensual. chasing after our ungodly lusts, which are the gratification of our senses and appetites for things of this world. Matthew 6, 19 through 21 says, Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth. where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven. Where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal, for where your treasure is. There will your heart be also. I lived that life for many years. And looking back on them, I was such a fool. I wasted so many years of my life that I could never get back by chasing after things that I could never keep. That is the mind of this world. That is the mind of the natural man. Sensual. Jude says back in verse 10 and 11, but these speak evil of those things which they know not. But what they know naturally as brute beasts in those things they corrupt themselves. Woe unto them, for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the heir of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsay of Cori. These false teachers are chasing after things of this world. Why? Because they have not received the saving grace of our Lord and have not the Holy Spirit for guidance to show them otherwise. That's all they know. It's the things that This world. 1 Corinthians 2, 9 through 14, and I got y'all marked there. I got you marked there of John, very first one in your book. 1 Corinthians. Okay. And we're going to start 2. 9. You have to flip over to the other page. Okay. Got your mark, Miss Mary. I mean, Miss Works. I don't know why I keep calling you help. No. 1 Corinthians, you almost there, you bring away. She fast ain't talking. 1 Corinthians. Chapter 2, and we're going to start reading in verse 9. Alright, we got it good. Here we go. But as it is written, I have not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things Which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us how? By his spirit. That's right. For the spirit searcheth all things. Now you notice that spirit with a capital S. That's God's Holy Spirit. Yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the Spirit of man which is in him. That's all the spirit of man knows. It's what the man knows. Even so, the things of God knoweth no man. You don't know the things of God without the Holy Spirit of God teaching you. I can sit here and tell you all day long God's word, but if you don't have the Holy Spirit, you. You don't know. And that's why we get, we learn, we learn. And each and every one of y'all keep coming back faithfully to learn. And praise God, that's such a blessing. He says, the things of God knoweth no man but the Spirit of God. We rely on the Spirit of God to teach us. We rely on the Spirit of God to enlighten us, to help us, to guide us. It's such a blessing. He says, Now we have received not the Spirit of the world. But the Spirit which is of God, that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. There's a difference. The things of this world is a totally different knowledge mindset than what the Holy Spirit puts in. Amen. The Holy Spirit gives you a whole new mindset of things. It's a wonderful, fantastic blessing. Thank you, Lord, for that. He says, which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God. Why? For they are foolishness unto him. Neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. The Holy Spirit teaches us. I so enjoy sharing God's word and watching people light up and lean in and want to hear more. I can't tell you how much I enjoy that. What is that? That's God's Spirit within us, folks. That is not the natural man of this world going to hear. but the Holy Spirit of God that dwells with our spirit in the hearts of each and every believer in Christ as their Savior. That is the Holy Spirit saying, Hear the words of your Creator and Heavenly Father, who loves you and gave His precious Son for you in order that you may live with Him for eternity. Woo! That is the sound of forgiveness, wanting to hear, and only the forgiven of God can really hear that. If you want to be forgiven by God for all your sins, you can be. Amen. Jude says these mockers chose to separate themselves. And not receive the Holy Spirit. For them, it is too late, but you still have a choice. And I would ask you here today, why would you choose to stay separated from a loving Father? Who wants nothing but the best for you and loves you beyond measure? Why would you turn your back on that? Why? I mean, spending eternity with someone who loves me beyond measure and only wants the best for me sounds like a really good deal to me. Let's close today with Ephesians chapter 2. And we're going to read verses 1 through 10. And with that said, next week, I wanted to say to begin with. But it got past me. There is so many ways, so many different verses that we could cover over this. So next week, be prepared because I want to cover some more verses over the natural man and the spiritual man. And I want to tell y'all, thank y'all so much for Bearing with me while I'm still learning how to, while God's still teaching me, and I'm still learning how to share God's word. And I thank y'all so much for patience with me as I learn. But with that said, next week I want to talk a little bit more about the natural man and the spiritual man because there's so many verses that goes along with this and I'm only allotted so much time. You know, so Ephesians 2:1. Ephesians chapter 2. Look at you go, Don. You got served. Y'all got it back there, George. Ephesians chapter 2, verse 1. All right. Ephesians chapter 2 verse 1. He says, and you had the quickened. Made alive who were dead in trespasses and sins without Jesus Christ, folks. You're dead in trespasses and sins. For the wages of sin is death. The wages of sin is death. Jesus Christ went to the cross and he paid your sin debt. And you hath ye quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins, wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world. We all did. We were born into this world, walk in the course of this world according to the prince of the power of the air. The spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience, that's the Antichrist, that's Satan. There are many antichrists. That means against Christ. Anti is against. among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of the flesh. fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. That's how we came into this world, folks. By nature, we were the children of wrath. I love this one here, though. But God, but God, who is rich in mercy for his great love wherewith he loved us. Wow. Even when we were dead in sins. God loved us even when we were dead in sins. Folks, if you're here today and you don't know Jesus Christ as your Savior, I want you to know God loves you and he does not want you to perish. and go to hell folks. God sent his only begotten Son to pay your sin debt in order that you may be saved. But that choice is yours to make. Nobody can make that choice for you but you. If I could make it for you, I would, I promise. But I can't. I had to make it for myself. The camera lady had to make it for herself. Brother Ray had to make it for himself. Each and every one of us have to make it for ourselves. Without Christ as your Savior, you are still dead in trespasses and sins. God still loves you though. Don't never get a mindset thinking I can't be forgiven. You can be forgiven now. If I've forgiven, believe me, you can be forgiven too. You can be forgiven. But your choice. Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world. According to the prince of the power, they are the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience, among whom also we all had our conversation in time past. in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind. And we're by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us. And it is a great love, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ. By grace ye are saved, and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. That in the ages to come when it comes. He might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. It's all through Christ Jesus, folks. For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. Folks, what is a gift? Something given to you freely. Something given to you freely. God doesn't give you the gift of salvation and say, Oh, by the way, I want that back now. Once you're saved, folks, you are saved. God doesn't take it back. You may wander away, but you're still saved. Man. God still loves you. God still loves you. He says, not of works, lest any man should boast. You can't work for your salvation, folks? No. You can't work for it. Christ did all the work for you. Amen. How are you going to add to a perfect Perfect redeemer. A perfect sacrifice. How are you going to add to that? Can't do it. You're not going to do it. Well, I sang in the choir at the church. How's that going to add to that sacrifice? Not by works, lest any man should boast. And I am so thankful that it's not by works because I don't want to be sitting in heaven listening to a bunch of people bragging about what they did. I don't want to listen to all that bragging. Well, I did this and I did that. I want to hear Jesus did this and Jesus did that. Right, because he did. I don't want to hear about everybody's works. I want to hear about the work of my Savior. And that's what I want to share: the work of my Savior. He says in last verse as we close, for we are his workmanship We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works. All the works that you think have been good all this time, if you didn't know Jesus Christ, guess what? You don't get credit. You know, that's right. You don't get credit for that, folks. You don't get credit for none of that. You get credit for good works after your faith in Christ. He says, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. The mockers, the false teachers that Jude is telling us about, they are not working. In what God had ordained. They are working in what they think. They are not ordained of God. They are not telling the truth to people. They are false teachers. They separate themselves. They do not have the Holy Spirit. Remember that next time there's one of these old guys on TV trying to tell you to send them your money. Think about that. Think about it. Keep by talking to you. You got some man on TV talking. If he ain't talking out of this, watch him. That's why it's so important to learn your Bibles, folks. Listen, if he's not talking about Jesus Christ as your Savior, folks. Pay attention to that. Don't fall for it. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for each and every person that's come, Lord. We thank you for their attentiveness, Lord. Oh Lord, we thank you for Jesus so much, Lord. Thank you for changing the lives of the believers, Father. Lord, we thank you. Father, we pray that you were glorified here today, Lord, and that eyes were pointed to you and your word, Father. Lord, we sure thank you so much for all that you do, for all you do is good, Lord. We thank you, Lord, for the caregivers here, Lord, that come and take care of these folks here, Lord. We pray, Lord, that they will take care of them the way you want them to be taken care of. Lord, we just thank you so much for your Holy Spirit, Lord. Thank you so much for your precious word, Lord. Lord, we thank for Brother Larry coming and filling in singing, Lord, the lead singing. Thank for Brother Ray filling in when he's not here, Lord. We sure thank you for all those that come to hear Brother Ray sing yesterday, the Lord. That was a blessing. We enjoyed that very much. Lord, thank you for that. We just thank you for his ministry. Thank you so much for him. Thank you for Brother Larry, too, Lord. And we pray for Sister Sherry, Lord. Pray, Lord, she can get back on her feet and get mobile again, Lord. Just pray for those who are here, Lord. Pray for Bill, Lord, his health issues, and for Don and Charlotte, Lord. And any of them that I'm leaving out, Father, we pray for all of them, Lord. You know the ones we want to pray for, Father. Lord, we just thank you so much, Lord, for all that you do. We thank you for the camera lady come, Lord, and run the camera. We sure appreciate her coming, Lord. Thank you for her, Lord. Pray, Lord, that you'd bless each and every person that's here today, Lord. And the ones that tuned in on the internet to watch, Lord. We just pray, Lord, that you bless them all, Lord. We thank you and love you, Father, and we thank you for all that you do, Lord. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
