I'll give you a hand finding it right quick. Yeah, we're going to start off in June. And we'll be flipping over to the one I have marked on the last That's the last of it. There you go. We got it, man. Oh, you got it, Mark. Good for you. Good for you. Good, good. We'll be starting off in the book of Jude and in verse 19. It's going to be right before Revelation. Revelation of this man. Are you doing Revelation? No, ma'am, Revelation seven page. June one, June nineteen. All right, we've got quite a few verses to cover today, folks. So here we go. So good afternoon, everyone, again. I hope everybody's had a pretty good week this week. We want to be in prayer for those who are sick and can't make it. Each and every one of y'all are dear to my heart. And when you're not here, I'm here. You know, we pray for you. And I want you to know that. So anyway, we have been going verse by verse to the book of Jude. And last week we stopped in verse 19. Where we are being given a trait of a mocker. Or another word for mocker is deceiver. And if y'all remember. what we discussed a mockery is. Now, Jude's deceiver or a false teacher. Now Jude says here in verse 19, as we read in God's Word in the book of Jude, we're going to be reading verse 19. As Jude says, these be they, talking about the mockers in the previous verse, who separate themselves. Sensual, having not the Spirit. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for this opportunity to come, Lord, and share your word here today, Father. Lord, we want to pray for those who are sick. Today, Lord, that couldn't make it here because of sickness, Lord. We want to pray for those who just have no interest in coming whatsoever, Lord. We pray, Lord, that you would just change your heart. Lord, that you will draw them to your word, Father. Lord, we pray, Lord, that you would just teach us here today. Just teach through me, Lord. We pray that the saints are edified here today, Lord, and the lost are pointed to you. We thank you for Jesus, and we thank you for your Holy Spirit, and we thank you for your precious word, Lord, that you bless us with to learn from. We thank you so much. In Jesus' name we pray, Lord. Amen. Amen. Okay, so now last week we learned that the words, they who separate Are translated from one Greek word that means to disjoin by a boundary. And we discussed how sin is a boundary between mankind and our Heavenly Father. Without forgiveness of sin, we choose to disjoint ourselves from the Lord by that boundary of sin. And the only way to remove that boundary of sin Is through faith in the death of Christ and his shed blood for the atonement of our sins. The word atonement means exchange. Romans 5:8 says, But God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more than being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his son, much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. The word reconciled used here means to change mutually, no longer being disjoined by that boundary of sin. But brought into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, who wants to forgive you if you would just believe in the death of his Son for you. Romans 5, 11. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. The exchange. You are given the credit for the sinless life that Christ lived in exchange for your life of sin. Amazon Prime deals. Can't beat that offer, folks. You're not going to beat that offer. 2 Corinthians 5, 17 says, Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. All things are passed away. All things are passed away. Behold. All things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ. By Jesus Christ. Amen. And hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry. reconciliation, to wit that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and hath committed unto us the word. of reconciliation the word imputing that means to take inventory How many sins have you ever committed in your life? How many sins have you ever committed? Oh, how many sins will you commit tomorrow? How many today? All of those sins are what is in your inventory, folks. Yesterday, tomorrow, and today. Through faith in Christ, those are not imputed to you. Your sin-stored shelves are wiped clean through faith in Christ. Amen. Psalms 103, 12 says, As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. The east is pretty far from the west. Let's continue. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ. As though God did beseech you by us, we pray you in God's Steve, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us who knew no sin. That we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Now, before you get to thinking, all your righteousness is just fine. Isaiah 64, 6 says, But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags. God looks at what we think is righteous. He thinks, God looks at what we think is righteous. What we think in our mind, this is righteous. What I've done, I've been singing in the choir. I've been doing this, I've been doing that, I've been telling all these other things. I help out these orphanages, I do all this, I donate money to the poor. All those righteousnesses that you think are good, which they are good, but what you think that's what's going to get you into heaven is your righteousness. God says it's filthy rags, but He God says that ain't righteousness to me. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags. And we all do fade as a leaf, and our iniquities like the wind have taken us away. Jesus Christ was God in the flesh, who had the righteousness of himself when he came and died on the cross for you. And without his righteousness, you are still unclean, and not allowed into his holy home. But by faith in Christ, God will wash you clean and welcome you in and will clothe you with new garments. feed you with new food. In the book of Revelation Jesus told the church of the Laodicians and unto the angel of the church of the laodicians write these things saith the Amen. The faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God. I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot. And would thou wert cold or hot? So then, because thou art lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing. And knowest not that thou art wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in fire, that thou mayest be rich. and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear, and anoint thine eyes with Isab, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Be zealous, therefore, and repent. Jesus says, Behold. I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open the door. I will come into him and will sup with him and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne. Even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. The ungodly mockers that Jude has been telling us about walk after their own ungodly lusts and choose to hear only worldly things because they are, as we look back at our text in Jude, sensual. Sensual, having not the Spirit. If you look at the word spirit, though, you'll see a capital S. That's God's Holy Spirit, and you see spirit with a capital S. The definition of the word sensual, according to Milwebster's dictionary, is relating to or concerning the body in distinction from the spirit, not spiritual or intellectual. Carnal, fleshly, pertaining to or consisting in the gratification of the senses or the indulgence of appetite. Luxurious, lewd, voluptuous, devoted to the pleasure, pleasures of sense and appetite. All they are caring about is their senses. Their worldly senses. Do y'all remember that popular old saying? If it feels good, just do it. That's right, brother. That is sensual, and that is wrong. Now, next week, God willing, I want to discuss Scripture dealing with the natural man and the spiritual man. But to finish us out for today, let's look at Ephesians 4. 17, and that's the one I have y'all marked at. Ephesians 4, 17, we're going to start reading. Ephesians 4, 17. There you go now. Ephesians 4, 17. That's the one we have marked. You got Miss Becky? Yep, yes, sir. All righty. Paul says in Ephesians 4:17, this I say therefore and testify in the Lord. That ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk in the vanity of their mind. The word vanity comes from a Greek word that means empty or profitless. All these things that the ungodly are chasing after. All these things they set their mind on to obtain, it's all going to go away someday. Then what are they going to have? Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them. because of the blindness of their heart who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness To work all uncleanness with greediness. But ye have not so learned Christ. If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus, that ye put off concerning the former conversation. That's your behavior, the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lust. And be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that ye put on the new man. Which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. So through faith in Christ, we put on the new man. Before faith in Christ, we are still the old man. Wherefore, putting away lying Speak every man truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. Once you put your faith in Christ, you are adopted into God's family. You become members with the other believers. It's a beautiful, wonderful thing. Be ye angry? And sin not. Let not the sun go down upon your wrath, neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more, but rather let him labor. Working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that need it. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying. that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. The ungodly do not have the Holy Spirit. God. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and evil speaking be put away from you with all malice. That means badness or wickedness or evil. And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Be ye therefore followers of God as dear children. Reverence God, folks. And walk in love as Christ also hath loved us. And hath given himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor. But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness. Let it not be once named among you as becometh saints. Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient, but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man who is an idolater hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words, that is empty words. That is what these Ungodly mockers, false teachers are doing. They're deceiving people with vain and empty words. For because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Next verse, be not ye therefore partakers with them. That is why it's so important to read your Bible, folks. Check what they're saying. Don't be partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness. That's each and every one. One of us. We were all born into sin. We were sometimes darkness. But through faith in Christ, he says, But now are ye light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. For the fruit of the Spirit, there's a capital S spirit, is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. These markers do not know what is acceptable unto the Lord because they do not bother to find out. They are too busy chasing after their own carnal lust to take the time and seek ye first the Lord and his righteousness. In hindsight, I wish I would have taken the time a lot more sooner than I did. If you want to know Christ as your Savior and receive the Holy Spirit of God, you may. These ungodly mockers choose not to. They choose to stay separated from God. God says in 2 Corinthians 6:14, Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? Skip on down to 6:17. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate. Saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you, and I will be a father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. These ungodly mockers choose to be separate from the Lord. Our Lord is telling us to be separate from them. And the way you do that is by trusting in the one who paid the price for you to be separate. He paid the price for you to be separate. And that is our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you, Heavenly Father, so much, Lord, for this lesson that you blessed us with, Lord. Father, we just thank you so much for each and every person that comes, Lord, to hear your word, Father. We want to pray for each and every one of them that come, Lord. We just pray, Lord, that you'll be with them, Lord. Let them know that they're not alone here, Father. Let them know, Lord, you're there. Lord, we just thank you so much for Jesus. Thank you for your Holy Spirit. Thank you for your word, Father. One, pray for my wife, Lord, who's feeling ill, Lord. And pray for Bill as well, Lord, and his health issues, Lord. We just pray you'll be with him too, Lord. We know that he would be here, Lord, if he could. Father, we pray for Brother Larry and his wife and their health issues as well, Father. Lord, we just pray for each and every person here, Lord. We just thank you so much for those who come to hear your word. Father, we want to pray for the caregivers that are here, Lord. Pray, Lord, that you would be with them and help them to care for these folks here today. Lord, the way you want to be cared for. We want to pray for Brother Ray and his upcoming ministry, Lord, and his song. Concert he's giving on Saturday, Lord. Pray, Lord. Many will come and hear him, Lord. We know, Lord, that he's going to sing about you, Father. And we sure thank you for Brother Ray. We pray for his wife as well. Lord, we thank you for Brother Lay, Ray, who's leading the songs for us, Lord. We just thank you for the fellowship that we have here, Lord. What a blessing, Lord. We just thank you and love you so much, Lord. And we thank you for all that you do, Father, for all you do is good, Lord. We ask these things in Jesus' name today, Lord. Amen.
