All right, hello everybody. Hello Brother Bill. It's such a blessing to see each and every one of y'all today. All right, so last week we left off in the book of Jude at verse 19 where Jude says These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for your precious word. We thank you for each and every person, Lord, that faithfully comes, Lord, to hear your word taught, Lord. And we pray, Lord, that the saints are edified here today and that the lost are pointed to you, Lord. We pray that you're glorified here, Lord, today. And Lord, we just pray that you just teach us today, Lord. Teach us your word, Father. Help us to learn, Lord. We pray that each and every ear will be attended, Father. that your spirit just goes forth here father we love you and thank you so much lord for all you do as people in jesus name i pray amen amen all right so jude has been telling us some markers Of false teachers. And here he says they choose to separate themselves. Now, either you choose to follow the Lord or you choose to not follow the Lord. One road, two directions. You are either following the Lord or you're not. And these false teachers Choose to not follow after the Lord, but to chase things after that, but to choose after things of this world. Their mind is fixed on carnal things, worldly things, and God's word says in James 4, 4, ye adulterers and adulteresses. Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world Is the enemy of God. Philippians 3:18 says, For many walk, of whom I have told you often. And now tell you, even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ. Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. James calls them adulterers and adulteresses. Why? Because they take the mind that God has blessed them with. and choose to not use it to learn of the one who gave it to them but they choose to learn of worldly things instead Not giving God a second thought. Jesus said in Matthew 22, 37. Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. That's right, with all thy mind. When we refuse to learn of our Lord God, our Creator, we choose to remain separate. Our verse in Jude says, sensual, having not the Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, we choose to remain in our natural state. still thinking and acting in the natural instincts that we are given in order to survive. Animals are the same. They are given survival instincts at birth. Without the Spirit of God dwelling within us, we are simply animals. Just doing what we can in order to survive. We are doing what comes naturally. What we have to do is renew our way of thinking and we do that by seeking the Lord Psalms 139, 23, 20 through 24 says, Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. One of my mom's favorite verses is Psalms 51. 10. It says, Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew. A right spirit within me. That's right, brother. Without the Holy Spirit of God dwelling within you, you will simply continue to do what is natural. And you will die a natural death, and there is no hope for you. Proverbs 11:7 says, When a wicked man dieth, His expectation shall perish, and the hope of unjust men perisheth. But with the Holy Spirit dwelling within you, hope does not perish. Romans 5:5 says, And hope maketh not ashamed. Because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. The sensual man knows only the natural instincts. That are given at birth, because he has not received the Holy Spirit of God. And if you want to know the things of God, you must be taught a different way to think. Ephesians 4. 20, I've got you on Mark. Ephesians 4. 20, right here. Explore. But ye have not so learned Christ. If so be that ye have heard him and have been taught by him as the truth is in Jesus. That ye put off concerning the former conversation, the old man, that's your old life. which is corrupt according to the deceitful lust and be renewed in the spirit of your mind and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Now how do we put on the new man? You must be born again. There is a wonderful story about a man named Nicodemus. Who was a bigwig among the Pharisees, who were the so-called spiritual leaders during the time of Christ's walk here on this earth, and he humbled himself. And came to Christ to seek answers to questions that he had. Although he came at night so as not to be seen by others. The fact of the matter is that he still came to Christ to get answers, and that is very important. When you are seeking answers to questions, folks, it does not matter if the sun is shining or it's dark outside, as long as you go to the right source for answers. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. And that does not say that you can only seek in the daylight. Let's see what Christ told Nicodemus in the book of John, chapter 3, and let's start reading in verse 1. And we've got you marked, Mr. Mary. John chapter 3 verse 9. John 3 look at y'all go alright. John 3 verse 1 says, There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. So this man's a bigwig of the Jews. The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God. For no man can do these miracles that thou doest except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, that means truly, folks. Truly, truly, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born? Do you see what is going on here, folks? Nicodemus is only thinking naturally. He is only thinking naturally. Natural instincts only create natural thoughts. Jesus answered. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Now, Spirit is a capital S, folks. That's God's Holy Spirit. He cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh. Natural, natural, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit. Woo! There is therefore, oh, I'm sorry, Romans 8. 1 says, there is therefore now no condemnation. To them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8, 2. I believe I have y'all marked on this one too, Mr. Mercury. There we go. Romans 8, 1, and 2. Right here down here. Romans 8, 1. Romans 8, 1 through 2, on verse 2 now. For the law of the Spirit, that's a capital S. Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Hallelujah. Forgiveness. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sins. Condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. These ungodly teachers that Jude is talking about and talking about only walk after the flesh having not the Holy Spirit, they are not walking after the Spirit. Romans 8, 5, for they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh. And that's exactly what the Ungodly teachers are doing. They're minding the things of the flesh. But they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Don't you want life and peace? Amen. Why? Because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the spirit. Here, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you, if I'm gonna say again, but ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit. How? If so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now, if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Without the Spirit of God dwelling in you, folks, none of God's. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also Quicken to take alive your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors not to the flesh. To live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die. Plain and simple. For if you live after the flesh, ye shall die. But if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Amen. All those ungodly lusts mortify them. Put them away. And the Holy Spirit of God will help you do that, folks. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. When you hear people say, oh, we're all just a child of God, that ain't what this says. God's word, isn't that ain't what God's word says? It says, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage into fear, but ye have received the spirit of adoption. Whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness within our Spirit that we are the children of God. And if children, then heirs. Heirs of God. What is an heir? That's somebody who inherits something, right? We're heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. If so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 1 John 5:1. Did I mark y'all okay? No, I don't think I marked that. Okay. 1 John 5:1. Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ Is born of God. And everyone that loveth him that beget loveth him also that is begotten of him. 1 John 5, 10. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself. He that believeth not God hath made him a liar because he believeth not the record that God gave his Son. 1 John 5:11. And this is the record. That God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Amen. 1 John 5:12 as we start to close here, folks. Did I skip the page? Man, that went fast! 1 John 5, 12. He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God Hath not life. He that hath not the Son of God hath not life. Without faith in Christ, it is impossible to please God. Father. You put your faith in the death of Jesus Christ on that cross for your sin. The finished work. The finished work. God sends His Holy Spirit to dwell within. Wow. It just amazes me that God would love us so much that he would send his only begotten Son to die on the cross and suffer that death that he suffered for our sins. In order that we might be saved. And I'm always amazed by that. And I'm so grateful, and we are so blessed to know Jesus Christ as our Savior. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for this lesson that you blessed us with, Lord, to come and share it here, Father. Lord, we pray that the saints were edified by your word, Lord, and that you just open the ears of those, Lord, that don't know Christ as their Savior. Lord, and we just draw them to the cross, Father. Help them to understand, Lord. Show them Christ, show them that Christ died on the cross for their sins, Lord, and that there is forgiveness through the cross, Lord. We thank you for each and every person that come, Lord. And Father, we want to pray for those who are too sick to get out of the beds, Lord, to make it today, Father. We pray, Lord, for the caregivers that are here, Father, that they would just take care of the people, Lord, the way you're going to be taken care of. We thank you for Brother Larry coming and leading the songs, Father. We thanks for the camera lady coming, Lord, and operating the camera, Father, for us, Lord. And it's just such a blessing, Lord. Folks, who take the time out of their day, Lord, to come and help and to share in your word here, Lord. Thank you, Lord. We want to pray for Brother Larry's wife, since you sharing, Lord, and her healing as well, Lord. According to your will. And Father, we just pray that each and every person that's come here today, Lord, you will just open up a couple blessings on each and every one of them. Lord, we just thank you for their attention. Lord. We thank you and we love you so much, Father. We thank you for Jesus. We thank you for your Holy Spirit, Father, and we surely thank you for your precious word, Lord. We thank you once again, Lord. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
