Alright, hello everybody. Thank you, Brother Larry. Alright, so hope everybody's had a good week. Last week, we stopped in the book of Jude in verse 23 where Jude says And others say with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garments spotted by the flesh. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for this time that you bless us with, Lord, to come together and to just be taught in your word, Father. We pray that your Spirit would just teach us here today, Lord. We're so thankful for each and every person that comes to hear your word, Father. They are such a blessing, Lord, and we thank you for each and every one, Lord. We just pray, Lord, that you'll just pour out a blessing on each and every one of them through learning your word, Father. We just want to learn, Lord, and we want just others to learn too. Just teach us here today, Father, as we get into your word. In Jesus' name I pray, Lord. Amen. Amen. Alright, so now last week We went over some verses that pointed you to an afterlife of fire and torment and if you are here today without knowing Christ as your Savior I hope those verses made you think And I hope those verses made you want to seek out an afterlife of peace and joy which can only be found through faith in Christ. Remember, folks, you are a spirit You have a body, and when this body stops, your spirit will continue. And where you choose for your spirit to continue is all your choice. Choose wisely, my friend, please. Now last week I was asked where I thought hell was located. After doing a study on this, I could not find any specific location in God's word where it will be. I can tell you, however, that it will be in a lake of fire. Revelation 20, 14 through 15 says And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Excuse me. If God's word does not give a specific location, then God does not want us to know. And if you know that you are saved, then you definitely don't need to know where it is anyway. But if you really, really, really want to know where it is, just keep following the devil, the path of the devil. And he will eventually show you where it's at if you truly want to know where it is. The tag open. Now, I hope that helps answer the question that I had last week. I couldn't find nothing about it, so that's the what I got out of that stuff. So now Jude has been warning us about false teachers throughout the book of Jude And in verse 23, I think that he still is because there is a difference Or a contrast, if you will, between verses 20 through 22 and 23. In verses 20 through 22, Jude is talking about the beloved. The beloved of God, those who have accepted God's dear Son as their Savior. Not only does Jew use the word beloved, But those that don't know Christ as their Savior are not looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jude says in verse 20 through 22, but ye beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith Praying in the Holy Ghost. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference. Jude says, making a difference here in the last verse 22. Making a difference. There were many definitions for this translation from the Greek word diakrino. Diakrino in the Greek, including To separate thoroughly, withdraw from, oppose, discern, And discern means to doubt, judge, be partial. And that was just some of the meanings of the Greek word translated into making a difference. We should be making a difference between false teachers and those who share God's word in truth. And we can do that by knowing what God says in his word and comparing that to what a teacher of God's word says. Excuse me. If a teacher of God's word says something that is against what God's word says, Then tell them the truth. Tell them the truth. I was word has gotten back to me that there was someone who came to uh Came to uh one of our Sunday classes here and they kind of got offended and they don't want to come back. Now, here's the deal. If I say something that's wrong, please Come and talk to me about it. Get with me after class, after Sunday, after church. Get with me. We'll sit down. We'll open this together and you can show me exactly what I said that was wrong Now here's the deal. I can apologize for that if I said something wrong. However, I cannot Nor will I ever apologize for what God says. I will stand on that until the day I die. God said it, I believe it. If you get offended by it, then I would like to encourage you to please come and see me and let's talk about it. Don't get offended at me and mad and leave and not never come back and talk to me again. I want you to look at something. You see all this right here? This is the same stuff you have. It's called flesh. Inside this flesh is the same thing you have. It's called blood. We are all flesh and blood. I am going to make a mistake. God's word is not a mistake. So please, if you get mad at something I said that I said, please don't get mad and walk out and not never talk to me again. Please come and see me. Give me a chance to apologize to me But like I said, if I said something that God said in here and you get offended and mad, you need to talk to God about that. Please. Please talk to God about it. Come and talk to me about it. We'll sit down and we'll talk about it. Don't get mad and don't give me no chance. Come on, please. We're all humans here. We're all flesh and corn. So now if a teacher of God's word See or some. Come on, hello. They're human just like you are. We all make mistakes. Now, here in verse 23 is where the contrast is. Jude says in verse 23. And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garments spotted by the flesh. Jude uses the word others, others, not the beloved of God Not those growing in the most holy faith, not those praying in the Holy Ghost, not those looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ and to eternal life, but others Save with fear, pulling them out of the fire. Tell those who are not telling the truth about the truth. Tell them. Tell those who are not telling the truth about the consequences of doing so. Jesus said in Matthew 12, verses 36 and 37. But I say unto you, this is Jesus talking, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. The word idol used here, it means useless, barren, unproductive, fruitless. Have you ever heard of a barren wasteland? There's nothing that can be produced on that. There's no fertile ground in a barren wasteland. It cannot produce anything. Such as idle words. A false teacher is going to tell you idle words that will not produce fruit, folks. He is not pointing you to God. He is not pointing you to Jesus Christ. He is pointing you to everything but. Or if he does point you to Jesus Christ, he is pointing you to Jesus Christ plus your works. He is pointing you to Jesus Christ plus. Jesus Christ, this, that, and the other. Folks, I'm going to point you to the death of Jesus Christ. on the cross for your sins and him alone. For by grace are you saved through faith. And that not of works. It is the gift of God, folks, lest any man should boast. Faith and faith alone. You put your faith in Jesus Christ. And him alone. And then you come and see me at judgment. Woo! Come and see me. Because a brother knows going to be there. Faith in Jesus Christ. You put your faith in Jesus Christ and Him alone. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. What you say matters, folks. I can tell you that in my past, I would go into some very scary places But none of those places compare to standing up here sharing God's word with you because God knows that the last thing that I ever want to do is stand up here and tell you wrong. I do not want to tell you wrong, and that is very scary for me. We will be either justified by our words or condemned. Now it's kind of a double-edged thing for me because I enjoy standing up here telling you God's words so much. But I don't want to tell you wrong either. I am terrified of that. But Miss Works will tell you, some other ones will tell you that if I do say something wrong, you will see this man up here. apologize and tell me for it. And I'll be asking for forgiveness. Because like I said, I'm just flesh and blood like each and every one here. And I make mistakes too. Romans 10 9 says that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead. Thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. Don't you want Jesus to confess you before the Father, who's Father in heaven? Woo, I do. And he's going to. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Words matter. Psalms 32, 5. I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and my iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord, and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Sila. At least meditate on. Think about that. Stop. Pause a minute. Think about that. I said, he confessed his sins before God. Lord, I'm sin. Jesus Christ died for my sins. Thank you, Lord, for Jesus. If a teacher of God's word is saying something against God's word, get with him after service and talk about it. Open up God's word and show him. Matthew 18, 15. Moreover, if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone. If he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. Now chances are, if he is a false preacher, he will not listen to what you are saying. Or even want to read what you are showing him, even though you have shown and told him of the consequences of an eternal life of separation from our Lord after judgment. Jude says, hating even the garments spotted by the flesh. The word hating used here gives us the idea of to detest. And the word garment gives us the idea of clothing. Your garments. The word spotted means a stain or a blemish, a defect. Has several different meanings. It can mean this covering that we oh, wait a minute. I left something out. Now the word flesh Has several different meanings. It can mean this covering That we have to cover our muscles and our bones and our innards, but it can also mean our old adamic nature as well. When Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden, he passed down that nature to all his descendants. And guess what? If you have been born by the means of a man and a woman, you have inherited that old Adamic nature. Adrian Rogers said, if you got here any other way, then I guess you're excused. That is why the Bible says you must be born again. Because we are all born in Adam. 1 Corinthians 15, 21 says, For since by man came death, By man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all died. Even so in Christ shall all be made alive, born again. Romans 8, 5 through 9, as we start to wind down. And I got you marked on. I think you're marked too over there, Thomas, and Miss Wurks, you're marked if you want to turn there. Romans 8. Everybody's marked but the preacher Romans eight five through nine. For they that are after the flesh Do mind the things of the flesh. But they that are after the Spirit, that's a capital S The things of the Capital S spirit. That's the Holy Spirit of God, folks. For to be carnally minded is death. Carnally, fleshly, earthly, worldly. But to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Life and peace I tell you what, I look more forward to life and peace every day this whole world keeps doing. It's getting worse and worse every day, folks. More turmoil, more unrest. If you can't see the winds of change happening, you're not paying attention. Things are changing, Fred. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But he says here to the same. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the spirit. Capital S. God's Holy Spirit. If so be that the Spirit, the Capital S Spirit of God, Capital G God, dwell in you. Now, if any man have not the spirit, the capital S spirit of Christ, Capital C Christ, he is none of his. He is none of his. Without the Holy Spirit dwelling within you, folks, you are not a child of God adopted into the family. Without the Holy Spirit of God dwelling in you folks, you are just a creation of God. But praise God, through faith in Christ, you can receive the Holy Spirit and be adopted into God's family, whereby we cry, Abba Father, the Bible says. Jude says that after we tell the false teachers about the wrong that they are saying, and they will not hear Then we are to hate or detest even the clothing that they are wearing because it is stained or spotted by the flesh. That old Adamic nature that these false teachers refuse to be forgiven for. They could be forgiven. They could be born again. Just because you're saying something wrong, folks, doesn't mean you can't be forgiven for it. Once you repent, which is a changing of your mind There are people and there are preachers who have been up teaching the same old come on down the come on down the aisle To the steps that we're calling an altar, come on down to the old fashioned altar, folks Kneel down here. Let me lay my hand on you and you'll be saved. There are preachers who have been preaching that over and over for years and years Who have had their eyes open to the death of Jesus Christ on that cross for their sins. They have put their faith in that They have repented of what they've been teaching all these years. And now they're teaching faith in Jesus Christ in order to be saved over. You can be forgiven. Don't think you cannot be forgiven. I can tell you right now, God can forgive this old woman. He can forgive you too, I promise. And he will. Faith in Jesus Christ. Look to that cross with Jesus hanging on that cross died for your sins. There is forgiveness through that cross. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord. We thank you, Lord, for each person that's come here today, Father, to hear your word, Father. And Lord, we pray, Lord, that there's one here that doesn't know Jesus Christ and him alone as their Savior, Father. We pray, Lord, that you'll draw them to the cross and show them Jesus as their Savior, Father. Show them Christ, Lord. We pray that they'll seek you, Lord. Oh, Father, we pray so much for the lost, Lord. We thank you for the saints who have come, Father, and we pray, Lord, that each and every one we're edified here today by your word, Lord. We pray for them, Lord, and we pray, Lord, that you'll just continue to teach and show us your word, Father. Help us to share your word with others, Father. Even those who are speaking contrary, Father. Help us to point them to the truth, Lord. And we pray that they'll have a repenting of the mind, Father, and that they will see Jesus as their Savior. Father, we love you and we thank you so much for all that you do, Father, and for all you do is good. We thank you for the ability to come here today, Father. We want to pray for those who can't get out of their beds, Father, to come that want to be here so bad, Lord. Father, we pray that you will be with those folks, Lord. You just let them know that they're not alone, Father. Let each and every person that's here today know that they're not alone, Lord, as they're going through what they're going through here, Father. Just be with them, Lord. Let them know you're here, Father William. Guide them, Lord. Guide your thoughts. Guide all our thoughts, our words, and our actions, Father. We thank you and we love you so much, Father. We want to thank you so much for Brother Larry and his wife coming and helping and Brother Ray standing in when they're not here. Lord, we thank you so much for the camera lady and her help as well, Father. Oh Lord, I can't thank you enough for her, Lord. Lord, we just appreciate you so much, Lord. Thank you for Jesus. Thank you for all that you do, Father. And in his name today, Lord, we pray. Amen
