So we just want you all to know and encourage you to bring your children's if you want to bring them.
Ages 5 to 14 is the ages I was given a while ago.
So this is going to be our vacation Bible school this year.
And I love this.
It says the Big Bang is a Big Lie.
So folks, if you want the Word of God preached to your child and you want them raised up in admiration of the Lord, then this is a wonderful opportunity right here to have the Word of God taught to your children.
So I just wanted to show you all that.
This is going to be at Central Baptist Church over in Maybank.
It's right next door, right across the street from the old nursing home that used to be there.
So this opportunity right here, so if you want to go to that, here you go.
I would encourage you to bring your child to it.
I promise you they're going to learn the Word of God there.
It's a wonderful, wonderful place to go to learn the Word of God.
So with all that said, I call today's message, "Here Comes the Judge."
That's today's title of this message today.
God's blessing me with titles and I just, I love when he does that.
Unless we have a title to a message.
So today, is here comes the judge.
We're gonna be in the book of Jude.
We're gonna like I said start off in verse 14.
And we're gonna read down past 15, or read through 15.
And God willing we will be expounding some of verse 15 today.
We're getting there, slowly but surely.
So let's start reading here in verse 14 of the book of Jude.
And we're going to read through verse 15.
Jude says in verse 14, "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these."
And he's talking about the ungodly.
"Saying, 'Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints.'"
Why?
Verse 15, "to execute judgment upon" how many?
One or two?
"All."
"To execute judgment upon all."
Do you all remember what the word "all" meant?
Wow!
"All" means all.
"And to convince all" not just a few, but "to convince all that are ungodly among them "Of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against them."
Oh, I can't wait till we get a little further into this.
We got a little bit of time.
Well, I jumped ahead here while back.
I wish I would have done that, but...
Okay, Heavenly Father, let's pray.
Heavenly Father, thank you so much, Lord, for your precious Word, Lord.
Oh, what such a blessing Lord, and I just pray Lord that you will just teach through me today Let your spirit teach your word here today father for those who have come Lord for those who are watching on the internet I just pray that you are glorified here today father and that the lost are pointed to you father and that the saints are edified Thank you and I love you so much Lord.
Thank you for your precious word in Jesus name.
I pray amen All right.
I'm just so excited.
I got God's Word.
I just love it so excited So last week we left off speaking about the separation of the sheep from the goats When our Lord returns to this old sin-filled world He is not coming back with a pocket full of second chances folks He is coming back to gather his sheep into his sheepfold There will be no goats in the kingdom prepared for his sheep And there will be none of his sheep in the place prepared for the goats We're going to revisit Matthew 25 31 to 34 real quick We're not going through all the verses because we covered them last week.
But we're going to reread a few of them.
In Matthew 25, 31, now we covered these last week, like I said.
Giving people time to turn in there.
And I think we got you, Mark, Thomas.
You should be good to go.
In Matthew 25, verse 31, this is Jesus talking now.
He says, "When the Son of Man shall come in His glory and all the holy angels with him.
Then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory.
I wish y'all could have been at church this morning with us, folks.
Y'all watching, I wish y'all could have been at church with us this morning.
Our pastor went over and sung to us today.
Oh, it was wonderful.
I got such a kick out of it.
Wasn't it good?
I enjoyed that.
And he said it goes on here in Matthew 25, verse 32.
"And before him shall be gathered all nations."
Now that, folks, that means everybody.
Each and every race is gonna be before the Lord when he comes back.
They will all be gathered.
"And he shall separate them one from another."
Individuals.
"As a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats, "and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, "But the goats on the left, then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, "Come ye blessed of my Father."
Woo!
"Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world."
But for the goats, the ones that don't believe the Father, Jesus says in Matthew 25, 41, "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand," the ghost, "Depart from me, ye cursed into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels."
Now there is a kingdom prepared for those who are blessed of the Father.
Jesus tells them to come.
"Come, you blessed of my Father."
But for those who do not believe the Father, those who refuse the Father's love and grace, Jesus calls them cursed and tells them to depart from me into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.
One road going in opposite directions.
God has blessed us with the ability to choose.
Which direction do you choose?
Do you choose the direction that leads to the kingdom?
Or do you choose the direction that leads to everlasting fire?
Only you can choose the direction that you travel.
Remember, Jesus is going to judge each and every one of us individually.
Your choice.
Only you can choose the direction that you travel.
God can keep pointing you back to the right direction every time you get turned around, but eventually, your road is going to lead you to your destination someday.
Now the question you need to ask yourself is what direction am I traveling right now?
Right now, which way am I going?
If my road were to run out right now, will the direction I'm traveling take me to the kingdom prepared for those who are blessed of the Father?
or does my direction take me away from that kingdom, towards the place where the curse, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.
One road going in opposite directions.
But praise God, if you will heed God's warning and realize you are heading the wrong way, toward an everlasting punishment, He has made a legal U-turn for you by His grace, who is His beloved Son, Jesus the Christ.
And through your faith, He will set you back in the direction leading to His Kingdom when your journey ends here in this old world.
Folks, if you are traveling away from God, traveling following the way of this world, God has made a U-turn and it's called repentance.
When you repent, your mind is going towards the world, but when you have a change of mind and you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins, you get a great U-turn on that that road going in two different directions.
I know, I was headed this way one day and all of a sudden God called me and I heeded the call.
I heeded the call.
Oh, yes Lord.
I turned around, I had a change of mind.
I got that U-turn God gave me and I decided to get on that U-turn and I decided to change my path.
So I am no longer following this path towards destruction, towards the place prepared for the devil and his angels.
But I'm coming this way.
Bless ye of my father is the way I'm going now, folks.
Hello, Miss Bacon.
Come on in.
Here, let me get that door for you.
That's all right.
So I got on that U-turn, I made the U-turn and I'm heading back toward the Father now, through Christ.
When my road runs out, folks, I know where I'm going.
I know where I'm going when I reach the end of that road.
Now regardless of the direction you're heading down in this road of life, regardless of which If you are going away from God or if you are going to God, you are going to meet Christ.
You are going to meet Him.
Now either you can choose to meet Him now through faith or you can continue to deny Him and meet Him when He returns.
What does the beginning of verse 15 say?
to execute judgment upon all.
To execute judgment upon all.
That's the beginning of verse 15 in this book of Hebrews says.
Folks that's not the time to be meeting Jesus folks.
But you're going to no matter which way you're going.
What did it say?
Execute judgment upon all.
You will be before the judge.
Now while you still can, folks, is the time to meet Jesus Christ through faith.
Now I jumped ahead a few weeks back and discussed the meaning of these words then.
But myself, I need a reminder of the meaning of the words from time to time to help me remember the meanings.
Used here in our text, the word execute, he says to execute judgment upon all.
The word execute means to make or to do.
To make or to do.
The word judgment used here means a tribunal or a court of justice.
A court of justice.
A court of justice.
A When Jesus returns, He is going to do a court of justice.
He is going to make a tribunal, folks.
And guess who's invited?
Everybody!
All nations will be there.
When our Lord returns, He is going to be holding court, folks.
And each and every one of us is going to be on trial.
You say, "Brother Doug, I don't want to go be on trial."
I'm sorry.
Nothing I can do about that.
I want to tell you something though.
If you know Jesus Christ is your Savior, bring it on.
Bring that court on.
Bring the trial on.
I know my verdict.
I know where I'm going.
Bring the trial on. trial on them.
Come Lord Jesus.
Now if you don't know where you're going, of course you don't want to be on trial.
No, I don't want to do that.
I don't know.
What do they say in the end times, men are going to want rocks to fall on them to try to hide from the Lord?
Ain't happening.
There's no hiding from the Lord, folks.
No hiding.
In a court of justice, When our Lord returns, He is going to be holding court, folks, and each and every one of us is going to be on trial.
In a court of justice, we are brought before a judge and told what we are accused of and the evidence of a crime.
In this case, we will be brought before the one God has appointed to be the judge.
Isaiah 42 says, "Behold my servant, whom I uphold, mine elect, and whom my soul delighteth.
I have put my spirit upon him.
He shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles."
Christ came to this old sin-cursed earth the first time to deliver His gospel given to him by the Father.
The word gospel means good news, folks.
Christ gave his perfect, unblemished life for a sacrifice for the world's sins.
That means you and me, folks.
The world's sins.
All means all.
He gave his perfect life for the sacrifice of the world's sins.
All everyone, all.
He hung on a cross made of wood, shedding His precious blood and dying for our sins.
The just for the unjust.
After His death He was placed in a tomb and on the third day He arose, overcoming death in order for those who believed to be risen again unto the kingdom prepared for them since the foundation of the world.
That is the way of the Lord.
That is the gospel of Christ, folks, and it is given to us freely.
Freely.
Ephesians 2, 8-9 says, "For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves."
It is the gift of God.
Gift's free, folks.
It's the gift of God.
God tries to give it, God give it to you, here.
A lot of people won't take it though.
They don't thank you God, I don't need that, I can do it on my own.
They saying that now.
And they standing before the judge, gonna be a whole different story.
Ephesians 2, 9, not a works, lest any man should boast. now well you still have time when you are called please do not ignore god and refuse to come to him there is coming a time when he is going to call you that you are not going to have that option and when that time comes it will be too late for you to choose when you are called to appear before the judge and the evidence of your life is reviewed Is the judge going to see that you believed in the son, or is the evidence going to show that you didn't?
I have a, when I see these things and I think about the judge, I have an idea in my mind how it might work.
I can see walking into a courtroom and a judge up there on a, up high, You know how they put the judges, or at least in my case, every time I stood before one, they was always way up there on a pedestal, so to speak.
They were up there higher than me, looking down on me.
And I can see that judge up there, and I can see him looking at me, and he says, "God's word says, for all have sin and come short of the glory of God.
How do you plead, Mr Saxon?
How do you plead?
Well, your honor, I plead guilty.
I plead guilty, Your Honor.
But There's one here that's taking my punishment for me, sir.
Here comes my lawyer.
And he says, "Lord, this man's guilty."
"But all his punishment has been placed on me."
"I have already took the punishment for this man, sir."
The judge looks at him, you represent this man?
Lawyer looks at me, he said, yes sir, your honor.
He asked me to represent him.
He put his faith in me to represent him to you.
He believes that I can do it, he believed I paid his penalty.
The judge says, "You did pay this penalty."
He believes it.
My lawyer says, "Yes, he believed it."
Not guilty.
You took the punishment for the man.
The man has no punishment left to take.
There's no punishment for him now because you took the punishment for him.
Free!
"Enter now in at the kingdom of heaven for you."
Woo!
But you know there's going to be people standing there and they're not going to have a lawyer come up to stand beside them.
They're going to say, "How do you plead?"
They're going to say, "Well, we're all that sin that comes short of the glory of God.
How do you plead?"
Well, now, I did good works.
I did the best I could.
OK, how do you plead?
Well, I came down in Austin one time at church and we prayed about it.
How do you plead?
They ain't going to have an answer.
How do you plead?
They say guilty.
Well, who's gonna take the punishment?
You gonna take your own punishment?
They don't have a lawyer to represent them, folks.
They haven't put their faith in the one who took their punishment.
They're gonna be taking that punishment themselves.
They're going to a place prepared for the devil and his angels.
They stayed on the path that the devil was on.
That path ran out.
Guess what's at the end of that path that the devil was on?
The end of the devil's path.
The path prepared for him and his angels for eternity.
What path are you on?
Think about that.
If you don't know Jesus Christ as your Savior, think about it.
The road is running out, folks.
Each and every breath we take, the road is getting shorter and shorter.
What road are you on?
Let's close today by reading John 5, 19 through 29.
And I believe we got everybody marked.
John 5, 19 through 29, we'll close.
There it comes, you good?
John 5, 19-29, Jesus says, "Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you..."
The word "verily" means "truly".
He says it twice.
You better listen, folks.
It means it's true.
"Truly, truly, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing of Himself but what He said the Father knew.
"For what thing soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
For the Father loveth the Son, and showeth him all things that himself doeth; and he will show him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them," That means to make alive again.
Even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son, that all men should honor the Son.
Folks do you honor the Son?
Do you believe in the Son?
you believe in Him, you honor Him.
That all men should honor the Son even as they honor the Father.
He that honoreth not the Son, honoreth not the Father which hath sent Him.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, You're going to have everlasting life.
Don't you want an everlasting life with the Father?
You're going to have everlasting life either way.
You're going to have a second death.
Where you'll be living in the fire lake reserved for the devil and his angels for an eternity.
Which I wouldn't call an everlasting life.
That would be an everlasting death.
But you either going to have an everlasting life or an everlasting death, but you're still going to be in pain and misery, suffering with the devil.
Or you can have an everlasting life and live with the Lord.
And shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God and they that hear shall live.
I was walking, folks if you don't go to Christ as your Savior, you're dead.
You're as good as dead.
I was dead before I put my faith in Christ.
And then he brought me to life.
He gave me life.
For as the Father hath life in himself, so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.
And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of Man.
"Far hold not this for the hour is coming in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice."
Folks, there's no hiding.
The grave is not going to hide you from judgment.
Don't think that the people who have gone before you got away from judgment because they're the ones in the grave are going to be arisen again and they're going to be judged.
That includes the ones that are dead.
Last verse 529 of John.
"And shall come forth they that have done good."
When he says done good, that means believed on the Son of God.
"He that believeth on him is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
"They that have done good unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil unto the resurrection of damnation."
That is forever and ever.
Please, which way are you traveling on that road, folks.
There's only two ways.
There's no off road here somewhere where you don't get found.
God's gonna find you.
He's gonna find you.
As a matter of fact, you're not lost in His eyes.
He knows exactly where you are.
He knows those of His who have believed.
Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and they follow me."
And God knows who hasn't believed.
I wish we had time to get into the book of life.
Your name is written in the book of life.
Maybe we can do that next round.
But I sure thank y'all for those of y'all who come.
Thank y'all for coming and helping, we appreciate that.
Thank you, Camerlady, Camerlady Jr.
We sure appreciate that.
Thank you, Brother Larry.
I believe we got one more song after we pray, right? - That's right. - All right, Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord.
Thank you for your precious Word.
We thank you for your Holy Ghost, Lord.
We thank you for Jesus.
And Lord, we pray that you are glorified here today, Lord, and that the laws were appointed to you, Father, and that the saints were edified, Lord, through your Holy Word, Lord.
Thank you for this lesson that you blessed us with here to share today, Lord.
Oh, it's just so much fun, Lord, and we thank you for the fellowship that we have here with each and every person that comes, Lord.
They're such a blessing to us, Lord.
Lord, we just thank you so much.
Thank you for your faithfulness, Lord, and we thank you that your word never changes.
What you say is true, and it will be forever and ever, Lord.
Oh, thank you, Lord.
For by grace, I always say, through Jesus, Lord.
Thank you for Jesus.
What a blessing, Father.
In Jesus' name, I pray, Lord, we also, Lord, we want to pray for those who are sick and ill here, Father, and just pray that your will be done in their lives, Father.
And pray, Lord, that for the caregivers here, Lord, that they will take care of these people, Lord, the way you want to be taking care of them, Father.
Lord, we just thank you so much, Lord.
What a blessing.
In Jesus' name we pray.
Amen.
