Alright, good afternoon everyone. Good afternoon. Well glad everybody can make it good, good, good. Okay, uh just a real quick reminder for everyone this afternoon. Please, and this when I was doing my lesson this came to my mind, please pray for each other. And all the caregivers here when you are praying to our Lord, folks. God may just be waiting on your individual prayer before he moves in a mighty way someone's life. Amen. I love watching God work. Amen. And you might be the one he is waiting to hear from before he starts a new project at someone's life. life. So please pray for each other and the caregivers here. Now speaking of projects Let's start digging into God's precious word today. Last week we left off in the book of Jude in verse 20. So we're going to start right there today in the book of Jude in verse 20. Book of Jude, verse 20. That's where we left off. Okay, okay. We like to go verse by verse and we study the words and we uh let God teach us. So here we go, verse uh 20 in the book of Jude, Jude says, but yeah. Beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith. Pray in the holy Go. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for each and every person that's come today, Lord, to hear your word, Father. We pray, Lord, that you would just teach us here today, Lord. Share your word, Lord, and teach us, Father. We sure thank you, Lord. We want to pray for the caregivers that are here. And we pray for each and every person that comes to hear your word, Lord. And we pray, Lord, that you'll just Just bless each and every one of them that come to hear it, Lord. We want to pray for those who can't get out of bed, Lord, to get here, Father. We want to pray for them as well, Lord. We thank you and we love you, Lord, and just pray that each and every ear will be attentive here today, Lord, and that you will remove the distractions from this room, Lord, and just teach us, Father. We thank you and we love you so much. In Jesus' name we pray, Lord. Amen. So far, in this verse, we have discussed the words, but ye beloved. We know who Jude come on in ma'am. Hello, come on in. I'll get that door for you. Come on in. Oh, the ladies. There's a lady there. Or no? Yeah. Hello, Mike, some more meaning. I don't know what I'm doing anymore. Well we're basically getting God's word in here. Listen to the uh sharp sharpness? Yeah. Okay That's what I wasn't looking for. You're in the right blood. Yes, ma'am. You're in the right floor. You want me to get I didn't know I'm a fan. She's good, she said. No worries me up. You know, I pray sometimes in my personal prayers that God will send the ones here that He wants to be here. So Y'all come on in. Everybody's welcome to come. We were just talking about the book of Jude. We teach verse by verse and we've been going through the book of Jude. And our last verse where we left off, I'm going to start it again because we got people coming in. Jude says, but ye beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. So so far in this verse we have discussed the words, but ye beloved. We know who Jude is addressing here in this verse. So now that he has our attention, what does he say next in this verse? Building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Let's break this down before we move on. Jude says building up. Building up. The words building up gives us the idea of to build upon. To build upon. If Miss Becky wanted to build a skyscraper, which way would her building have to go in order to be a skyscraper? That's right. It would have to go up. A skyscraper would not be a skyscraper if she built it down toward the center of the earth, would it? No. Now let's say Miss Becky started building her skyscraper and made the bottom floor to where it was just sitting on the top of the ground. She went out and mowed the grass and cleared the ground good enough to see the dirt and measured the size she wanted the bottom floor to be and started building her skyscraper right on the dirt. Now what do you suppose is going to happen to Miss Becky's skyscraper when it gets too high and the winds come That's right. That's right. Her skyscraper is going to blow right over. It's going to blow right over. Why? Because before you can build up, you need a strong and solid foundation to build upon Her skyscraper had nothing to keep it from falling over when the adversity came. Her skyscraper had nothing solid to hold on to when those winds came. Now she had dug a dug deep, dug down deep, and poured her a concrete slab with steel rebar, reinforcing that concrete and building upon that. Her structure would have had a solid foundation to build upon. So when those higher winds came, that skyscraper had something secure to hold on to to keep it from getting blown over. This same principle can be applied to ourselves. What are we building upon? Jesus Because you are building upon something, whether you know it or not. Now, if you are one of the beloved Jude says you are building up yourselves on your most holy faith. You have heard the gospel of Christ, and you have believed the gospel of Christ, and you And you now are building upon that sure foundation, which is a rock that shall not be moved. Psalm 1831 says, for who is God save the Lord? The word save means except or besides. So you could say, for who is God except or beside the Lord? Besides the Lord. Or who is a rock save our God? The word rock gives us the idea of a refuge. When we are seeking shelter from a storm, don't you want your refuge to be stronger than the storm? Psalms 18. 2 says, the Lord is my rock and my fortress. And my deliverer, my God, my strength, in whom I will trust. My buckler and the whore of my salvation. And my high tower, Miss Craig. My high tower That high tower is not going to get blown over, folks, with a storm stuff. That high tower is one you can get in and you can rely on Psalms 18, 3 says, I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised. So shall I be saved from mine enemies. What was the enemy of that skyscraper that Miss Becky was building? The wind. Our enemy is sin, Satan, and death. And our rock delivers us from all three. Psalms 27. 1, and I have y'all marked in that in this section. Psalms 27. 1. So twenty-seven, one, three, five. a second to get there. Psalms 27, 1 through 5. A Psalm of David. The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes Came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the Lord. That will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. To behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion. In the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me. He shall set me up upon a rock. A firm, solid foundation, folks, that is not going nowhere. Psalm 62, 6 says, he only Is my rock and my salvation. He is my defense. I shall not be moved. A good foundation will not move, folks. What is that song we sing? Just like a tree planted by the water. I shall not be moved. That's right. Psalm 62, 7, in God is my salvation and my glory. The rock of my strength. Yes. And my refuge is in God. When the adversities Of this old world come against you folks. You need to be resting on a firm foundation or just like that skyscraper, you're going to get blown over. You have to have something solid that is not going to be moved to hold on to or you are going to fall. Psalm 16, 8. I have set the Lord always before me, because he is at my right hand. I shall not be moved. In the Bible, the right hand gives us the idea of strength. Strength. When God is our strength, we can look to Him to help us hold on and not be moved. Woo! Amen. I remember many times how I wanted to give up on preaching. Many times But every time that wind would blow me in that direction, I would lean toward the Lord and pray and ask what to do. And he has held me steadfast and not let go and blessed me with the strength to hold on. And now I enjoy sharing God's word more than ever. There was a lady at my church at church this morning and she was telling me that she wishes she could come so bad. I'd love to come. I want to come by and I was telling her I have so much for her I can tell y'all how much fun I enjoy coming up and sharing God's word with y'all. Now in the beginning when I first started I was really a bundle of nerves and I was nervous. But now the good Lord has just, he's, I wanted to give up so many times But God, He wouldn't let me give up. Hallelujah. And I thank you, Lord, so much, you know. Thank you, Lord. Because I don't want to give up. Not now. I don't want to never give up. I want to tell people about Christ Jesus until the day I die. Amen. I want to share the gospel with others. No matter what you are facing in this life, if you have a rock solid foundation, you need not worry when the winds blow. Because you know the one who is in control of those winds. And he is the same one who built your foundation if you are in Christ Jesus. Acts 20, 32 says, and now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up. And to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. 1 Corinthians 3:9, for we are laborers together with God. Ye are God's husbandry. Ye are God's building. 310, according to the grace of God which is given unto me as a wise master builder. Paul is telling us about Christ as a wise master builder. The only way he could be a wise master builder is if he knew. Amen. He knew He says, I have laid the foundation and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. The only foundation, folks, that's going to be a solid foundation for you is faith in Christ. That's it. That is it What are you building on, dear friend? What are you building on? If you do not want to fall when the storm called judgment comes to you, and it will. Judgment will come to each and every one of us. If you do not want to fall when the storm called, judgment comes for you. You need to have your foundation built upon Jesus Christ. No storm will ever remove you from his love, and he will not let you fall when you trust in him. Let's close today with a parable Jesus tells us in the book of Matthew, chapter 7, verses 21 through 27. And we got you, Mark does. Thank you. Book of Matthew. Book of Matthew, chapter 7. We're going to start reading in verse 21. Now this is Jesus talking, okay? This is Jesus talking. Jesus says in Matthew chapter 7 verse 21, not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. But he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Amen. Many will say to me in that day Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils, and in thy name done many wonderful works. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you. Depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Folks, do you know Jesus Christ as your Savior? Do you know Christ as your Savior? If you don't, he's going to say, I never knew you. Depart from me, ye that work iniquity. You have not, if you do not know Jesus as your Savior, you have not been forgiven of your sins. sins you are still in your sins you are still working sin in God's eyes because you have not been forgiven. Jesus is going to say depart from me. Oh man. That's terrible. Depart from me. I don't know about you, but when I get there, I want him to say, oh, well done, thou good and faithful servant. Amen. That's what I want to hear. Amen. Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Woo! He goes on and says, Therefore, whosoever heareth thee sayings of mine and doeth them. I will liken him unto a wise man which built his house upon a rock. Hallelujah. A rock. A firm foundation that cannot be moved. Jesus goes on to say, and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew. and beat upon that house, and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock. In this world, folks, the winds are gonna blow, the floods are gonna come. The winds are gonna blow the and beat upon your house. If you want a sure foundation and you don't want that house to fall, faith in Christ. Faith in Christ. And everyone that heareth these things of mine and doeth them not shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand. What foundation do you have, folks? Do you have a rock solid foundation or is what you're building on on the sand? Are you a wise master builder or are you a foolish man who built his house upon the sand? And the rain descended. going to. And the floods came and the winds blew and beat upon that house and it fell. And it fell And great was the fall of it. Great was the fall of it. That don't mean it was a little fall. That was a big fall. A long way. A long way. Great is the fall. There is a pit reserved for the devil and his angels. The Bible says there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Folks, you don't have to hear Jesus say, depart from me, ye worker of God. of iniquity. You do not have to hear that if you do not want to. All you have to do is believe Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross. Amen. He that believeth in him is not condemned. But he that believeth not is condemned already. Because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Is your house on a rock or is your house built on the sand? If it is built on the sand, folks, I would highly recommend that you change that. You can always pick up that house and move it to a rock, folks. You can pick it up and move it. But that choice lies in your hands. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for each and every person that's come to hear your word, Father. Lord, we thank you for this wonderful lesson that you blessed us with, Lord. And we pray, Lord, that it glorified you, Father. It pointed people to Christ, Lord. Father, we want to pray for those who don't know Christ. Is there something? Savior, Father. We pray that you would draw them to the cross, Father, and that they would heed that draw and they would come to the cross, Lord, and you would show them Christ dying for their sins, Father. Lord, we just thank you so much for your grace through Jesus, Lord. We thank you, Lord. We thank you for your Holy Spirit. We thank you for your word, Father. Lord, we want to pray for each and every person that's come, Lord. Lord, we pray for those who are sick, Lord, and can't get out of bed, Lord, and that they want to be here, Father. We pray for them, Lord. Lord, we pray for the caregivers that are here, Father We pray that each and every person here, Lord, will pray for each other, Lord. Thank you so much, Lord, for your word, Lord. I love your word, Lord. We thank you for it. We love you, Lord. We thank you for Brother Ray standing next to Brother Larry. We want to pray for Brother Larry and his family, Lord. We just pray for their healing according to your will, Lord. We thank you for the camera lady coming, Lord, and operate the camera and all those that helped mark the books, Lord, and that just helped to make this possible, Lord. We thank you for them, Lord. We love you, Father. We thank you for the safe passage here. We pray for safe passage back, Lord, for each and every person that's going away when they leave here today, Lord. We sure thank you so much, Father. We love you, Lord. Thank you for loving us, Lord. We know that we love you because you first loved us, Lord. We thank you for your love. Thank you for Jesus, Lord, and in his name we pray, Lord. Amen.
